LinkIT WAS FOR A TEST UH
Sara is a 21 year old, 5' 8" female with bipolar disorder and slight PTSD.
Sara started experiencing the disorder at 15(beginning of sophomore year) and ended up finally getting diagnosed in the middle of her senior year(18 years old). She lives with her dog in a small house in the eastern part of colorado. Because of her disorder, she finds it very hard to socialize when in either mania or depression, and cuts off contact with friends when she enters either polarity. This has caused her to lose friends because she doesn't feel like they genuinely like her. This is because of some self confidence issues she experienced in middle school, after being made fun of for her interests. This self confidence issue also shows when she enters a depressive state because she seems to hyperfixate on the past and have a sort of PTSD from it. Her dog Lucky is a siberian husky and is a very silly dog, but not too energetic, because he seems to understand what Sara's is feeling when she's feeling it. S

Linkfinds him very therapeutic and fun to spend time with. one of her favorite coping mechanisms when she gets upset is to put Lucky's fur into a bunch of little ponytails. In the home she was raised in, she had 5 siblings, and a dad who decided to leave when she was in 4th grade. She was the second oldest, and struggled with wanting to be the oldest because she felt unrecognized as a child. Her mother struggled from severe depression when Sara's grandfather died in 4th grade, (her mom's dad) and fell into a state where she didnt feel like she could get help. saras father then left because of this, casting her mother into a deeper state of depression. Eventually, the older brother managed to get their mother therapy, which was going well for about 2 and a half years until she suddenly relapsed. by this time, the rest of the siblings had moved out and/or finished school. Saras disorder was noticed by a teacher who had her in one of his classes and said something to a counselor who then reached out to Sara to star

Linkt talking and see it for himself. Sara, who was fairly good at hiding what was going on with lies, wasn't able to hide it from the counselor and she then got a therapist to help.
(note that she only lied because it was a habit she grew as a child so that she could avoid giving more stress to her mother)
Saras occupation is a museum tourist person(those people that tell you everything about what you see) and a librarian at her local library. She loves american war strategies and dinosaurs, and can often be seen reading a book behind the desk at the library.
her three main coping strategies are
-something to do with lucky, often times putting small rubber band hairties all over his fur and whatnot
- therapy. doctor evergood and her meet every other week
- reading or learning about history
