Shade was being the Hunter he truly was, he knew that he was on something big this time, though he wasn't sure what of just yet. He simply just followed a scent he had caught.
Gin dozed peacefully near a small pond, she never caught sent of the approaching hunter even if she did, what was it going to do? she could easily slap it away with her tail or even eat it.
Her ear flicked, hearing the sound of leafs being crushed. She lifted her head and yawned then scanned the area.
He was dead silent, though he did happen to slip and ended up falling on to a semi-final branch, though it broke right in half with a loud snap

He looked right back at her, his ears pinned, knowing he'd been seen by this large beast of sorts.
He made a low growl, he wasn't too happy about her response after all, so he slowly stood up, making sure he didn't screw up either of his legs
she only glanced at him, deeming him unworthy enough to even tease a fight. she saw no point and thus stayed where she was.
Shade straight up, threw the axe at her tail, hitting it dead center
She didn't didn't expect that and cried out in pain, whipping her tail back down and nearly hitting him. her claws dug into the dirt ground, she whimpered.
He couldn't help but giggle quietly, he knew she underestimated him.
she plucked the axe from her tail and snapped it in half then stood and stared at him, planning out her next move.
He looked up at her, baring his teeth, he was technically still armed
she dug her claws into the ground again and growled. she was quick to grab him and throw him into the pond.
"God fxcking damn it..." He got out of the pond quickly, hating the fact that he would become a puff ball later
He casually walked over and grabbed his axe head, then snarled loudly
He gripped the axe head tight, his ears pinned as he lunged at her, leaping through the air.
He landed right in front of her. "I'm well aware... but you look like a fine meal, maybe even a nice pelt too..."
He didn't even care, he just walked around her paw, still snarling as he got closer
He quickly got back out of the pond, chasing after her, his axe head in hand as he threw it at her front paw to make her stop.
He growled, sliding in front of her, pulling out some rope he had.
He wasn't going to kill her just yet, instead he tied the rope around her snoot, so she couldn't burn him if she tried, his tail wagged back and forth slowly as he did so.
That's all he did, looking down at her with a growl as he t ok the axe head in hand.
She looked away and took a deep breath, said a small prayer then closed her eyes.
Shade just growled and left, he felt rather merciful knowing that she had already dealt with other hunters, but he was the only one that actually scared her, and probably have killed her. Right before he left he simply said, "I'm feeling rather merciful, so your lucky for today, I will be back though..." He then just walked off, he also wanted to fix his axe first.
She thanked him and stood, watched him leave and turned, leaving the area herself.
Shade would go home to his little cabin, and start making a new handle for his axe, mostly likely drinking some whisky while he did so.
He worked on the axe until it was done, though it took him a really long time, roughly the whole night. He put the axe head on the handle, and just fell asleep outside, he was really tired after having worked on the axe, though his fur did fluffy up, it kept him warm while he slept at least
shes a dragon, she radiates heat she was pretty dang warm the whole night, sometimes even blew out smoke.
Shade would get off of the forest floor within 20 minutes, ready to hunt the Dragon again, his tail wagging slowly.
she peacefully slept, only waking to catch a bear trying to sneak in.

Shade went to spot he knew she was last at, his ears pinned when he saw that she wasn't there. He crouched down and sniffed the air, his ears perking back up when he caught her scent.
she rolled onto her stomach and stretched out.
she soon stood and walked out of the cave, making her way through the forest, taking a walk.
He followed her scent, his ears perked as he carried his axe, and he also had more rope, he was gonna hog tie her once he spotted her.
she stopped and smelled a few flowers, walking out into an open area full of them.
He noticed her, quickly getting out of sight and watching her every move silently.
She rolled onto her back then her stomach and stretched out, humming happily to herself.
Shade was silent still, carefully getting a bit closer to her, his ears perked.
She stopped, and sniffed then looked in his general direction. "here to finish me off?" She tilted her head.
he stepped into view, making a low growl. "maybe, but I'm also curious about how many hunters you've dealt with..." his ears were perked, his tail wagging slowly.
"I've been around for hundreds of years, I'll let you guess.." She kept herself calm, counting seconds.
"Considering you've been around for that long... I'd guess roughly 1,000 times at least"
"huh, alright then... but why do people bother trying to take down something they know they can't?.."
"hm..maybe they think of it as a challenge..im not them so i don't know."
"But then again, not many hunters worry about disarming the most dangerous parts first..."
"my? Oh.." She lifted it and looked. "still hurts, but it's much better.. A good night sleep fixes everything I suppose." She looked back at him.
"not everything... but then again I'm not a dragon either." he couldn't help but giggle quietly as he said that.
"for beings like myself, it takes a long while for anything to heal, pulled muscles are much worse the next day too..."
"depends on the placement of the wound... if it's on the midsection then I personally can't move at all, even breathing hurts... the chest is usually fine. the arms and legs are a bit bad too, but I just have to be careful on how I use them." his ears perked up a bit, shivering slightly at the thought of getting stabbed in the gut.
she nodded.
"ive gutted a man for trying to kill me..i wonder..if it really hurt as much as it looked..he wouldn't stop screaming for a few good minutes.."
"trust me.. it did..." his ears pinned, he had been cut up a number of times, he knew how painful it was to get cut anywhere.
"no, humans don't breath fire... it must've been cold, really cold.."
"yeah.. that's why he was steaming..." his ears pinned, this dragon was more dangerous then he thought, "how did you kill him, if I may ask"
"caught him off guard, took his weapon and gutted him with it..i didn't appreciate him trying to cut my head off."
"you could have done the same thing with this ax..." his ears pinned, a part of him wishing he hadn't asked.
she nodded.
"anyway, you've come to dispose of me yes? lets make it quick, rather not get attached." she joked and laid her head down.
he hesitantly walked up to her, his ears pinned, it never took a lot for him to get attached, he lifted his ax, pausing for a moment, he just couldn't do it...
Shade threw the ax into the ground, and just hugged her tightly, his tail wagging slowly.
she opened her eyes and looked at him. "thats new, what are you doing?"
he just nuzzled her slightly, he didn't want to kill something that had already been around for a few hundred years, what would the impact on that ecosystem be if he did.
"Hopefully..." he walked off, axe in hand, he was probably gonna kill a deer instead
Shade just killed a small white rabbit he saw instead, his tail wagging slowly
Shade just crouched down and gabbed the dead bunny, casually biting into it with no hesitation.
This feels drawn out time skip?))
she woke up a few times to scare away a few bigger animals.
Days? Ig later she was sitting at the small pond, staring in and watching the the fish swim.
Shade was in the area, sniffing around for some deer, his ears perked.
Shade caught a whiff of her oh so familiar scent, his ears perked.
"I'm look in right at it" he was looking at her, and of course he was joking when he said it
"not to long ago you tried to kill me, now you're joking about it."
His tail wagged swiftly, his ears perked, "I never got your name either.."
she chuckled. "and you have a nice name for a..walking wolf man i suppose."
"I don't even know what I fully am sometimes-" his tail wagged slowly, his ears perked still.
