LinkYour oc slowly stirred from their slumber only to wake to the view of a forest.
.../what/?
They had gone to sleep comfortable in their bed.. What were they doing here..?
They were surrounded by towering pines, a gloomy, foggy forest seeming to be in every direction. There were no tracks or signs for how exactly they got there in the first place. All they knew was that this place was WEIRD.
Everything felt like it was shifting, but everywhere they looked was perfectly still.
Everything felt loud but there was silence filling the air.
It was hard to tell if anything here was even real, but every one of their senses was telling them it was.
what does your oc do?

LinkIM SORRY I DISAPPESRED I WASNT ALLOWED TO HAVE THE CHROMEBOOK OUT
Ahh I had to leave class sorry for the late rep ))
Rusty's antenna twitched as he made a small bug like cherp. He believed it was just a dream, he had weird dreams often. But this one felt different, he felt like he was being watched from all sides.
Rusty tugged at his coat nervously as he walked through the foggy woods.
ITS OKAY!!))
The fog slowly grew thicker as rusty walked further in. The static even slowly began to grow louder. It had gotten to the point nearly every direction he could only see a few feet infront of him. It was hard to breathe in the fog.
Ahead, there was the murky shape of a tree. To the right, another tree was fully in view, seemingly another behind it
To the left, nothing. Just the murky, dense fog
Behind him was just the same
The mist behind him seemed to darken in color as the static in his head slowly thinkened. It began to slowly get louder and louder, almost to the point it’d begin to hurt. When he’d turn around, a figure seemed to form in the mist. The figure, however seemed to be ever changing. It almost seemed to be made of static itself
the figure..the silhouette began to circle around him. The static surged and faded through Rusty's ears.
"trying to escape already?" he asked, a ever shifting hand slowly reaching out to the mutant. "Where do you think you can go, hm? DO you know the way out on your own?~" he teased, his hand taking a hold of the poormans shoulder. The feeling itself was puzzling on its onw. You could feel the pressure, the weight of a hand, but it felt.. odd
"I want,," he seemed to pause, like he was looking for the right words. Milky white eyes seemed to form through the static. With their closeness, you could almost make out a mouth and details of the shape. Broad shoulders that seemed to fuzz in and out of the static and form. It was as if the man was an echo form a separate dimension.
"You. To put it simply, you've piqued my interest." he hummed

He gave a thoughtful 'hmpf' that echoed around the man like an 8d audio.
"You /are/ a strange mortal, aren't you?" he hummed, the hand seeming to faze away when he noticed the blood. the mist seemed to slowly grow colder around them, "I'm here to take you. To bring you to my domain,"
as he spoke the last part, his voice deepened. the dirtortion and echoes overlap one another into a twisted growl of a drawl. Then, sowly it melded into some sort of guttural chuckle.
"It'll only hurt a little. probably,"
"To study you, in a way," he hummed, beginning to slowly circle him yet again. The figures gait was strange just like every other aspect around him. An after image followed each movement he made, like he was lagging in real time.
"what do you think, hm?~ Will you come willingly?" he asked
It was now that rusty would begin to notice the fog had thinned to allow the mist around the man to fill the eith instead. He could see more of his surroudnings now. There was a path and a clearing, and another spot where the trees and foliage seemed to thicken.
He chuckled, amused at his fear. He reached out, his hand trouching his head as the static began to grow almost unbearable loud until it was just...
silence..
"/What?/" the mans voice snarled out angrily, seeming to fuzz and distort even more.
Nothing had happened.
They were both still standing right there, except the figures hand was pulled back by thick, leafy vines.
there was someone else behind the figure
(Question, this ones a little gnarly of a description and I wanted to ask if it was alright with you before i introduced her. if not i can swap her out with a different Daeodess)
There was a woman standing behind the figure of static. At first glance, she looked.. normal?
Honestly? She looked beautiful. But any more than a fleeting glance would show there her body seemed to be..cycling..?
She had the body and face of a beautiful woman one moment. Then the nexk, in some sort of rotting ripple, her appearance changed. it was like you were watching a corpse decay in incredible speed. Her beautiful skin rotted. it peeled off bone to show a decaying cadaver right under. Skin, mold and bone were all you could see, until another ripple rand through her body. It returned to the beauty from before.
It was a strange sight to see, to watch her decay into liquefied rot, and then remold into the face of beauty..
The man of static turned with a snarl to the lady, seeming completely un bothered by the sickening sight. "/You./"
The fog grew heavier, thicker the further she walked. It was getting harder to breathe normally.
Suddenly, a sound cut through the deafening silence. It was a high pitch whirring, like her ears were ringing a constant, monotonous ‘eeeeeeeeeeee’
Ahead, the fog seemed to get ever denser.
To the right, the trees seemed to grow thicker
To the left, the fog..it seemed to darken
as she climbed the tree, she seemed to cimb above the fog somehow. THe higher she went, the clearer her surroundings seemed. However, when she looked back donw it seemed like the bottom of the trees disappeared into a blanket of mist. . .
then she'd notice it.
right where she'd been standing before was a tall, strange creature. It just barely stood above the fog, though it seemed to be a part of it itself.
except for its head.
Which was tilted up in a malicious snarl as it looked up at her.
Like she were its prey.
her FA ref got deleted, but this is Navarrii

( if the link deletes let me know, it shouldn’t)
The woman rose to her feet, brushing pine needles off of her shirt as she made an attempt to gather her surroundings.
Slowly, she strode forwards into the fog, deducing that it was the safest option- places like this tended to make her magic go haywire, and trying to use a spell to find her location would lightly result in her electrocuting herself instead under these conditions.
As she slowly continued forward the fog…
Darkened?
The feeling was difficult to describe. The weight of the mist began to lift but the light around her felt like it was being blocked out by the density of the vapor.
All she’d be able to know for sure was that she certainly didn’t feel alone. If anything, she’d feel watched
Her ears swiveled from side to side, trying to pick up on any unusual noises. Whatever this place was, it certainly wasn't like any of the places her partner had taken her before. It felt.. wrong. No, Glory wouldn't send her somewhere like this alone. Whatever took her here felt more sinister. She'd just have to keep walking until she found something of use.
As she'd continue to walk, the fog seemed to start to thin again. More trees grew visible, and the humidity around her seemed to lighten up. It was still just as impossible to tell where, or even what direction she was facing, but she could certainly hear more. Three ways seemed to be different paths she could take. A worn path between the murky foliage of the forest on the right. to the left the trees opened up, seeming to grow even more sparse. ahead, the trees grew just as dense, thoguht the fog seemed to still remain as well
As she walked into the clearing, the fog thinned even more. She seemed to be in a circular opening, only surrounded by hte grass and foliage at her feet. before her, four trees stood upright, but these.. they looked jsut odd.
Until one began to move. it leaned to the side and suddenly began to lift, revealing wehre there should've been roots was a taloned foot.
It was a leg. and the creature it belong to was towering above her, disappearing into the fog ong before she'd see itse body
the figure looked down to her in an eerily blank curiosity. He appeared to be made of static, some sort of twisted afterimage of a man. He almost seemed amused by her fear.
"Who might you be?" he asked, his deep voice echoing and distorting like a choir of twisted chants. You could vaguely see a dark smile in the figure of static
WHOOPS
I mean he uses 'mortal' to mean soemone that isnt an interdimensional being like he is?)
The sense of dread would've seeped from his voice as it echoes off the trees around them, distorting and overlapping itself into a strange, twisted chuckle. He seemed off set by the strangers tone, and he certainly wasnt getting any happier. "Too late for something like that now~" he grinned, speaking slowly. static would've slowly gotten louder against her ears. "Perhaps I should take you to /my/ domain instead,"
OC Name Verena, Vera for short, centaur-like being and Verza OC (as you can tell from my OC name I'm so creative) from the game Creatures of Sonaria.
https://ibb.co/y5gTMSb
A centaur-like being, with a human face (instead of the animal-like one) without a regular mouth or nose. Instead, her face is divided right along the middle and vertically- an entire face which is a mouth which opens in a four-way split. She has four eyes on its face, one on each facial quadrant, and an extra pair of arms that hover by her side.))
Verena stood up from her kneeling position, silent as the air surrounding her. She shook her back legs, levitating slightly in the air- her natural position- as she tried to discover where she was.
She laid a hand gently over the rings on another... She hadn't done anything with them. She wasn't the one who had brought herself here... So who had?
Well, her arms technically were smooth, almost like quartz in a way. Nonetheless, she still felt the eerieness of the forest around her.
She always had abstract art pieces of her own creation herself, or explored odd places before... but nothing just felt as uncanny as this. This place of mist and gloom, with contrasting feelings- just feeling wrong. Verena floated slightly above the ground as she walked slowly in a direction in the mist, silent.
She paused in her tracks, her ears folding to her head. God, this was agonizing- she had no idea where she was nor where she should go. She glanced around- why was she even here in the first place?
Verena could only half-concentrate from the pressure of the fog and the static. She wiped a hand across her armor, wet with condensation, and stared at her hand quietly. She looked at the fog again. Maybe it was trying to guide her in a direction?
She decided to go the direction in which the fog seemed to be pushing her.
The moment she started to walk the opposite way, the static seemed to ease into a bearable drone. it seemed to lead somewhere, getting louder when she turned the wrong way, like some opposite metal detector. after a few minutes of these antics, a soft, ghost of a chuckle echoed behind her. It was just barely audible, but it was certainly there. and so was the innate feeling of being watched.
She had just been following the path the fog was pushing her, quiet, for a few minutes, but paused when she heard the chuckle. The gear that floated off her back whirred quietly, rotating as she stiffened, realizing that someone was also here- or something- watching her.
She stopped walking to turn around and look for where the chuckle had came from.
"...Hello?"
The mist seemed to slowly darken around her...
"So easily leadable, aren't you..?" a deep, masculine voice spoke. It was full of overlapping distortions, echoed through the trees and into her head. It was nearly impoosible to tell where exactly it was coming from. One echo was on a completely different side from another.
Verena sighed quietly, one of her long ears flicking.
"Better following at least one signal in an unknown place than bleeding from my ears from the noise" She responded to the unknown voice, looking around herself in a circle.
She decided to ask whoever this was a question. She had no idea why she was here, and whoever it was... seemed to know this place better than she did.
"Do you know... why I am here?"
The man chuckled, his voice twisting in on itself like a corrupted audio on echo mode.
“It appears you’ve found yourself between dimensions, haven’t you?” He asked. Behind her, static and mist began to form into the shape of a man. White eyes shone through the hazy after image of a silhouette.
“Interesting..”
She turned in the direction of the man, taking a bit as her centaur body was a lot larger than that of a regular human.
"Between dimensions? Is this due to the side effect of me portaling too much- or did something else bring me here?"
Verena had the power of making portals between places. She didn't use it too often, but she did use it for convenience sake. Perhaps that was the reason she was here- but. She was asleep in her home right before she came here- and she couldn't make portals while asleep...
As he walked around her, she kept turning to face him.
"Not sure what you mean by Traveller, but I do travel places. It works the best for artistic inspiration" she was unsure how to interpret how he thought of her as an 'interesting mortal', but she mentally noted the comment down.
She was absentmindedly playing with this odd metal wristband on the right wrist of her upper arm as she watched him back
"Interesting, so others have arrived here before?" Her front leg tapped what seemed to be the ground quietly, but it never really touched the ground, always floating above.
"Travelling is definitely a skill. Getting in the wrong place at the wrong time-" She winced visibly. She had an encounter... once, when she managed to mess up her portal hopping. Not pleasant.
"Plenty," he chuckled, his head tilting curiously. he slolwy stepped closer, the static strangely growing quieter the closer he got. Not much about this man.. this figur ereally made sense.
"It's rare, but many find themselves here one way or another. It's simply a liminal space between the dimensions your travel. You've been here before, you know. Travelling as much as you do, you've passed through the mist before,"
"I just... haven't ever stayed here. Or been brought here with no understanding why, which makes me curious too. Normally I'd just leave but- the fact that I did arrive here is just. Different"
She stretched quietly, the silk-like threads attached to her back moving and drifting without care to whatever was around. She stared at the figure in front of her, quietly thinking to herself what she should really do. Just leave this place? Or... with someone who seemed to be part of this place or who lived here right in front of her... Figure out how she managed to end up here while not portalling at all.

rewriting cause i realized it sounded different than what i meant
"I think you misunderstand me," he said with a soft chuckle as he shook his head, "This is the place inbetween. You may have visited somewhere similar, but even travellars shouldnt be able to access here. You simply pass through the mist as you go from one dimension tot he next," he hummed, watching her float, "It appears you've taken a mist step, somewhere though. I've never been able to understand how mortals keep ending up here,"
the mist seemed to slowly surround her, like the fog itself was taking hold of her again, though not in a way to cause any pain. It began to lift her further from the ground which seem to odly have started changing under her. Roots seemed to slowly twist and grow, though they began to slowly grow upwards when she was lifted, "It seems you've been noticed by more than just me," he chuckled
Verena sighed quietly at realizing her predicament. Either someone did something to her while she was asleep, or she got the habit of sleep-portaling. She'd rather have been brought here by someone else than make accidental portals while asleep- that would be a massive inconvenience if she opened a portal to the wrong dimension at the wrong time.
She noticed the fog lifting her up, and with a bit of confusion, she looked down. Upon realizing that roots seemed to be growing near her, she floated herself upwards even more. How she could fly, hell, she didn't even know herself, but it was just now her magic went.
She glanced down them at him. "...Another being?" She asked. "What are they like? Also... The way you called me a mortal. Are you some sort of- diety?"
"In a way." he answered, scowling at the vines that reached for him as well, thoguh merely phasing through. He seemed to turn, galncing around before his eyes fixating on a tree.
Somewhat abruptly, a ball of darkness shot out of the figures mist, slamming into the tree and practically splintering it.
A figure seemed to slowly rise out of it with a raspy, feminine laugh.
At first glance, it was a woman who practically personified beauty.
Skin, mold and bone were all you could see, until another ripple ran through her body. It returned to the beauty from before.
Verena blinked at the phenomenon she was witnessing - the woman's skin rotting right in front of her and then restoring itself. And this woman also seemed to be able to use plant magic, or at the least, control the plants in this odd area.
She glanced between the two, noticing the fact that they both... Didn't really seem to get along.
"First impressions: I am thoroughly confused" Verena commented. "Let me guess, you two don't get along?"
Metal hat look around his surroundings to see only trees around him as look around to see if he can use anything
Okay!
Oc refrence ->//
Anna rose to her feet and looked around uneasiness slowly arising as she examined the surrounding area.
She took a deep breath trying to calm herself it somewhat helped but there was no denying she was still concerned and panicked. Anna was convinced this wasn't real, a dream even yet a doubt also held her unsure of her own conclusion.
Anna sighed and stepped forward as she played with her hands to try and calm down.
She was lost in the midst of a foggy forest that practically screamed uneasiness in and of itself. The fog seemed to thicken the air around her, billowing around her and around the trees nearby.
a simple step foward showed nothing had changed. until she looked around. her surroundings were still the murky forest, but it was as if everytime she looked away and looked back, her surroundings had shifted. the trees would be different. the bushes shifted. only small, even barely noticable differences, but differences none the less
