LinkI don't even really know where to start with this. I wanted to make this feature easily accessible for all, because I wanted this site to grow again- but now I realize that just posting the document publicly was... a bad idea. I am. So Upset. that people have already started using this feature for bad- and currently, I have no solution to make it better.

LinkI love this site. I love flipanim and I love all of its users and I love every single genuine drawing and animation I find here. I love that flipanim made art and animation so accessible to young kids on the internet- I can't imagine I'd be as passionate about it today if it weren't for this site.
I feel a little overpowered in this situation, and I don't want to dangle the document over your heads- but I genuinely just have no clue on how to make sure it gets in the hands of people who won't use it to be horrible. Something something, Pandora's box- it's a flipanim code edit, whatever.
I've been made aware that someone who used my workaround is a person who (allegedly, so I won't name names) exposed sexual content of another user through one of their accounts. That... I feel awful.
Please be patient with me. I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting, and I don't want to drag it out, but I need to reconsider how to go about this.

Make the process longer, adding measures to make sure I know who is making every single account, then either making it for them or giving them document access
but that still has problems. How can I trust anyone at their word? How would I verify anyone? As well as that, this method could effectively stop any new users from making accounts.
I don't want to be like "one of you misbehaved, so all of you are punished" because I'm not your ****ing elementary school teacher! This is more like giving a bottle of dish soap to a baby, seeing how easily they opened the cap and swallowed a bunch, and now I'm taking the bottle back to make a better cap. Does that make sense? I hope so. I'm not good with allegories. or . metaphors. Let my adderall kick in first please

LinkA lot of people are suggesting a discord server- truth is I'm not that good at making servers. If someone else has experience, I would appreciate the help.
I just need a way to verify accounts after they read rules,
a channel I can talk in for updates and such,
a channel for the legitimacy form
and a chat for people to answer it. I only want people to be able to talk in that one chat, so it doesn't replace flipanim as a hangout spot.

It isn't your fault that people are being morons. You only wanted to help. Blame the people that are being irresponsible, not yourself. This site has always been a hell hole, but we're all thankful for people like you that try to make it just a little bit better.
Hopefully the new register thing can be figured out and we can find a way to moderate the site ourselves. If you figured out how to make new accounts, I'm sure someone can figure out how to moderate the website without FlipAnim's help
beaniebookittie has a very agreeable idea..you should make sure the interaction is on discord and do a bg check before anything is given like they said.
Verification posts are also good, just to make sure someone isn't just lying
kudos to you for actually taking a mature approach to this situation, people can be patient and wait a little longer until everything is sorted out and you don't need to force yourself to try to fix it as fast as possible. that's just unreasonable and unnecessary.
like spacekittyz and beaniebookkittie suggested, a discord server can be created and you can get trusted users to help you create it. if not, most bots aren't that difficult to understand after you tinker with them for a bit. verification isn't incredibly difficult either, and you can make a ticket bot so you can go through to verify that someone is who they say they are and yada yada. sorry for the long message, these are just a few options that could help. -_-ᵕ
ahh, i was gonna go and make an account for my youtube art and one for my sister so she can rejoin—it sucks that people abused this feature to the point you have to take away their ****ing register button privileges. God we can’t have anything on flipanim you guys suck
