Not even the fact that he was taken out of school in second grade separated you two. Any time you could be together, you were. He was always a year older than you and always teased you for it. He always helped you with homework and projects. During the summer, you and him would go on long camping trips and sleep under the stars in the mountains. In short, you both had always been super close. Achilles was about 23-ish, and you hadn’t heard from him in a few weeks. It was unusual, as he would always contact you at least once a week and tease you about something. You decided to venture out to his snowy cabin where he lived with some of his siblings and his grandpa. It was empty, and on the door were two signs. The signs read (“Behind the house”) and (“Leave your flowers there.”). You get a bit curios and go (continued)

(2/2) behind the house to find a wooden cross with Achilles’s name carved into it. A few bouquets of flowers surrounded it. You fell to your knees and started to cry. After about twenty minutes, though, someone puts their hand on your shoulder and says “I’m here.”

B: For years, you had always wanted to work at the old-style arcade down the road from where you grew up. While everyone else in class had dreamt of being a firefighter, or a policeman, or something else grand and spectacular, you wanted to work specifically at that arcade. Now, you’re (insert oc age here), and you got hired to clean the whole arcade after it closed every night, and to conduct maintenance on the machines. You’re very excited for your first night at work, so you get yourself a new flashlight and everything. You work for a bit, but after an hour of vacuuming the old carpet in the prize area, you hear a noise coming from the storage rooms.

"Aaa, no, stop it!! " Achilles laughed, trying to get the snow out of his face.

Achilles fell backwards in the snow, laughing.

“oH nO i’M sOoO sCaReD.” Achilles wheezed, still on the ground.

“Uhh, not a clue-“ He sat up, his hair covered in snow.

Achilles rolled his eyes. “Not always.” (Afk rq)

(back) " Here, you can have my coat!" Achilles smiled, wrapping his coat around Pere.

" what have you been up to?"

" that sounds,, boring, to be honest."

"since I last saw you? clearly my family thinks I died, that's about all I know. "

" Naw, I'm alright. "

Achilles followed Pere into the house.

Achilles fell over in the snow, laughing and wheezing.

" They thought I actually died "
