I have to make this short story for class but idk i feel like its too edgy lmao Humanity was crumbling, our world was beaten beyond repair due to the idiocy of us humans. We’d polluted and bombed our beloved home and very much paid the price. The rich took ships to the stars, and the poor scavenged the trash left behind. We only came out at night because the sun scorched our skin during the day. Our crops burned and lakes dry, we made the best out of our situation. We ate whatever morsels we could find and constantly traveled in order to find more. We took shelter in the abandoned homes of those who left for the stars. But above all, we kept hope that God, anyone, would bless us with comfort and relief. People were dying of disease, famine, and many took their own lives out of despair. On the roof of a house, quietly sat the Prince of Hell. He’d come to the overworld to see how the humans were holding up. As expected, they weren’t doing so well, like always.
