January 16, 2001. Kate was 1 year old. Her mother had gone missing a few days ago. Kate’s father, sister and aunt had been taking care of her since then, and she missed her mother very much. Kate’s sister, Helen, was trying to feed her some blended fish and boiled egg. “Come on, lil’ sis, you need to eat!” Helen frustratedly forced Kate’s mouth open and placed the spoon, closing her mouth again and retrieving the spoon. Kate spit the food at Helen’s face. “Uggghh, you’re so stubborn! Now I need to wash my fur, and my new dress!” Kate laughed and clapped her hands, giggling happily. Helen teared up and ran to their father. “Daddy, lil’ sis spit food all over my dress and face!” A few minutes later Kate finally ate, and she was put inside her crib. She decided to climb out, however, and she fell onto the floor. She began to cry and crawl around, wailing at the top of her lungs. Eventually, she felt light, and noticed that she was falling, making impact with new floors and going unconscious.
