heterophobia is not, as the cis claim, the oppression of straight people. heterophobia is the exclusion of straight aro/ace/trans people in lgbt spaces. aro/ace people are routinely excluded from lgbtq community, saying they're not lgbt "enough". as well as trans people who are shunned bc they're straight. or aro/ace ppl bc they're cis or straight. i think in the effort to keep cishet people from oppressing us, we forget that there's cis and het people in the lgbtq community, just not cishets. not to mention the heterophobia that leaks into biphobia. saying "ohh, it's awful being attracted to men" or "you're not bisexual if you're in a hetero relationship" is guess what....heterophobia, babes!!! it's really, super harmful. especially to bisexual men, women and enbies. it's the same thing that we do to nonbinary ppl, the putting them back into boxes. you can't always fit someone into a label, and forcing them to do so is very harmful. and yeah! the "kill all men, all men are awful" sentiment is, shocker! harmful to bisexual/gay/trans men, who are already preyed upon or seen as predatory. that mindset is super not good, and while i agree that it's ok to hate your oppressors....that's not how you do it, sis. heterophobia exists only in lgbtq areas, and is an active problem within the community. seriously...just be careful.
