she's really into watching me play the Silent Hill 2 remake and she's actually helpful because somehow she spots the enemies like years before I do so that's nice and she helps with the puzzles too

even though I've like already played the game I just have the memory of a goldfish and suck ass at puzzles

anyway she is pretty invested in it now but she also messages me once she's in bed after she's watched me play it for a bit about how she is having to watch Powerpuff girl videos because the game is going to give her nightmares 😭😭

which like real this game is spooky and scary but I've just become so accustomed to survival horror games that I'm used to the scares

that's thanks to my brother introducing me to Dead Space when I was super young and having me absolutely fall in love with it

I totally didn't platinum the remake within the first week of it's relasy back in 2023...

I could make a whole nother post talking about my history with dead space and survival horror games tbh but I won't for right now

anyway moral of the story my mom is starting to understand my interest when it comes to the spooky and the scary and the phycologically freaky

also we were laughing at Pyramid head when James was in the closet of apartment 201 and for some reason P-head just started doing an interpretive dance and it was hilarious

I love silent hill 10/10

I really wanna play through the original games (the good ones I believe) because they look really fun too tbh I'm a sucker for older games

the only place I think I'd be able to play Silent Hill 1 though would be my PS3 which would be fine and then I can play the original silent hill 2 and silent hill 3 on my Xbox I believe

ARGHHH I NEED MORE SPOOKY IN MY LIFE

pretty spooky tbh like it's hard for me to determine the scary levels of a game because I've grown so used to horror games but it's really shocking and scary at times I highly recommend the Silent Hill 2 remake it's really good

the enemy designs are disturbing and the plot is great with such surprising twists and really disturbing reveals and revelations

that's not to even mention the atmosphere of the game which just fills you with this feeling of loneliness and abandonment while also feeling like there's always something waiting for you around every corner

it's super fun and I've loved getting to replay it again tbh especially with my mom there

it's also a pretty puzzle focused game at times which may seem a little worrying but the puzzles for the most part are all really good and make you really kinda think if you want to solve them efficiently

there's also difficulty sliders for the combat and for the puzzles too which is neat with the combat being easier or harder depending on which difficulty you choose for it and same with the puzzles making the riddles in the game much easier or harder to understand

omgg uh uhhh I can try I haven't played all the games though but like uhh

oh idk where to start this was very sudden 😭

Dante and Vergil are twin brothers (Vergil is older though) and when they were younger their dad left and their house was burnt down and their family attacked by demons and out of Vergil Dante and their mom onky Dante survived sort of

Dante and Vergil were gifted two half's of an amulet when they were younger by their father and later on they were both gifted with their own blades

Dante got the Rebellion and Vergil got the Yamato

in Devil may cry 3 (the first game chronologically and also one of the ones I haven't played yet 😭😭) Dante is just kinda being himself when he suddenly gets attacked by demons shortly before defeating them all with a pool table because Dante

turns out bug demons tower is coming out of the ground somewhere and so Dante goes to make sure it doesn't and then he meets this one really insane lady named lady who is also trying to mess with the tower but for more personal reasons while Dante is just kinda being Dante

turns out that the person making the tower is this guy named Arkham who is trying to become a god using demons stuff and he turns out to be lady's father also but it also turns out that Vergil didn't die and is very much alive and very motivated and in search for power

Dante reaches the top of the tower and fights Vergil it's very awesome but then Dante gets impaled by the rebellion allowing Vergil to go away but Dante didn't die it turns out that him getting stabbed allowed him to activate his Devil Trigger and go demon mode

Dante then goes down the tower and kills a big floating whale because yeah

Vergil ends up killing Arkham after some demons stuff happens (Haven't played that game idk exactly 😭) and Vergil goes off into the underworld I believe

oh lady is still doing stuff this whole time but like idk what 😞

anyway Arkham becomes a bug demon thing after not dying when he died and so Vergil and Dante have to both fight him and they win with the good ol Jackpot

and then they get right back to hating each other and start fighting again and Dante wins but Vergil gets away? maybe?

Dante then goes back to his humble abode which is not a humble pile of rubble and he starts to cry and then the best writing ever occurs

Lady: "Are you crying?" Dante: "no it's just the rain, Devil's never cry." Lady: "Maybe somewhere even a Devil May Cry when losing a loved one"

and the Dante capitalizes off of murdering demons and yeah that's the gist of DMC 3 but like I probably got so much wrong because I've only played through dmc4 and 5 fully and I really need to finish the original three except maybe 2 that one isn't awesome

tbh I'd recommend watching lore recaps and such on YouTube I'm such an awful source of information I'm really sorry if I got stuff wrong 😭😭 I don't even think I mentioned the rock solo Dante has after defeating a vampire lady and her corpse turns into an electric (literally) guitar
