Yox sniffed around, they had somehow found themself in a wooded area. they sniffed around for anything to eat but they only found a stick.
she tried to eat it then when it didn't fit her taste buds she just drew circles in the dirt with it, walking on all fours like an animal.
Lost was leaning on an old, tall, tree. They had headphones plugged in a pocket of theirs, the slowly bobbed their head listening to the beats of the music, without a care in the world.
after a bit they did eventually get bored and dropped the stick. they sniffed around more, soon finding their way to the old tree, behind it and out of sight. they got closer to sniff it , going slightly to the front and finding lost. Yox stared for a moment then backed away.
Lost took a moment to really notice that Yox was Infront of them before they lifted up their head. "Holy Shit!" the yelled, before standing up with a straight posture.
they scrambled backwards and stood up right, leaning back a bit. they didn't think they could see them.
Yox looked from right to left then sniffed the air around them.
"Jesus, what are you..." Lost mumbled, and started to stare more closely, less afraid now.
she hissed and returned to all fours, backing away with a grow and arching her back..much like you would see from a scared cat.
her tails even seemed to mimic the animal.
lost took out her headphones, and kneeled down. "Hey.. whatever you are, I'm not going to hurt, are you hungry?" They said, taking out a half eaten candy-bar from out their pocket.
Yox sniffed and crawled closer.
they examined the sugary treat before snatching it out of Lost's hand with their jaws and backing away.
lost sat on the ground and watched them eat it. "So..do you have a name? Or do you even speak at that."
when finished eating the treat Yox cautiously got closer to them and sniffed, making a small chirping sound after they deemed them no longer a threat and laying in their lap, purring.
Lost started to pet them gently, not wanting to hurt them as they seem really peaceful. "This is... really cool! I'm lost by the way, nice meeting you.. uh..thing." lost paused.
they looked up at them then closed their eyes.
their purring just a bit louder then before.
Lost relaxed on the tree, closing their eyes as well, just enjoying their time with their new friend.
after a bit they sat up and crawled off them, sniffing around again and grabbing another stick to chew own.
Lost stayed asleep, as it got darker. Howls, and sounds of owls would emerge and the stars would start to fade out into the night sky.
Yox looked up at the sky then at lost. they thought for a moment before crawling over and back into their lap.
lost woke up to the movement and looked startled. "I overslept! I'm sorry uh... you, I have to go, or the wolves might eat me." He joked.
they huffed then made a big show of yawning and stretching before hopping off their lap.
Lost frowned and pat Yox on the head one last time. "Don't worry, I'll be back tomorrow."
She sighed and laid down.
"okay."
She mumbled quietly then started to like her arm, apparently it's dirty.
Lost sat up, "Guess you can talk, cool!" they smiled, "bye, uh..you." Lost started to walk back off to the city.
the next morning, lost came back with a big picnic basket and a red blanket. "Hey, I'm back!" He said, cheerfully.
they looked up and smile, wagging their tail and sitting up.
"lost!"
"I got you a gift, it's really yummy food!" lost sat down, and opened the basket with the smells of fruits, small cakes, sandwiches, meat with crackers, and almost anything a kid would like. "Try something."
