9. Mother 1

explanation: Mother 1 is held back by hardware and it doesnt really get to tell you the story it wants to. gameplay and navigation is also terrible and its what mother encore is trying to fix

it has a amazing final boss against giga gas but still just isnt as good as it could be if remade

8. DELTARUNE

explanation: this is judging on the chapters weve seen and i personally like it but compared to others on this list its just not there yet

7. Paper mario thousand year door

Explanation : honestly a great rpg, what i think of when i think of great rpg

6. Undertale

This game is amazing but honestly its hella overrated. the diolauge can be insanely corny. read me one of floweys lines and tell me it doesnt sound like one of those "i know how the game goes because im forced to play it with humans" things. sprites are absolutey disgusting sometimes with undyne looking like a stick figure, toriel and asriel looking like genuine goons, some backgrounds looking like my sonic lost world comic i made when i was 6 or 7 years old, just overrall not as good as people say and im tired of glazing because i cant say anything good that hasnt already been said

5. OMORI

explanation: this game is peak i cant think of one thing bad abt this game bro ig some of the bosses can be insanely hard like humphry but its genuine peak i still hate humphrey tho

4. Earthbound

explanation: This game is honestly the defninitive rpg. amazing story, fun artstyle, the one problem i can say is sometimes you dont really know what to do but even that is just a nitpick
