LinkAbout 40% of all Belgian Malinois dogs can carry the A22 gene, which can result in extreme aggressive behavior starting at the age of 2-3 years. This can also give the dog intense seizures. Please be careful if you are planning on getting one. Only get a Malinois from trusted breeders who test all of their dogs for this gene. Adopting a Malinois is not a good choice as many shelters do not test them.

LinkThis behavior can get so intense that it can end up killing people. It's bad, and with the increasing popularity of Malinois, many people are getting them from shelters and backyard breeders who do not test their dogs. It's a very dangerous cycle.
