LinkKai turned her nose up a bit at the man who went out of his way to sit beside of her- she was clearly not amused by the act, in fact, it agitated her quite a bit. She had sat out of the way of everyone to just enjoy her time at shore and drink, not to have folks meander their way over to her to disturb her. Though, he looked awfully younger than the men she had been around for months, it was a bit refreshing to not have an obnoxious old sailor breathing down her neck. The young man kept shooting gazes at her, his fingers fumbling with the various golden rings around his fingers before he cleared his throat, shoving his hand out to her for introduction, “The name’s Captain Ryan Sharpe! I man the Valiant. Aye, but you lass, you need no introduction. Tch- word is you’ve been swallowed whole, shot through your heart, and cut to pieces.. but the worms won’t have ye, and Hell won’t take ya- and here you are!.. The right and proud captain of one of the best damned vessels to ever set sail- Miss,” He paused,

LinkClearing his throat before he continued, “uh- Captain, Kai LaRue.” Kai simply glanced back over at him up and down, her eyes falling on his hand before she huffed out, extending her own hand to shake his. The mans expression turned into a slight smile, “-Got to say, I was expecting some type of mutilated monster of a woman.. not- this-“ He pulled his hand back before making a gesture to her. Kai scoffed, turning her head back to the kegs of beer on the wall, rolling her bright eyes, “Ah? Suppose this is disappointing for ya then?” Ryan quickly shook his head, “Oh no- absolutely not, if anything, far from that. I supposed I’m just.. impressed, is all.” She clung to her cup, her eyes shifting to cast another hard glare at him, “Impressed?” He held up is hands, laughing a bit, “Yes ma’am, anyone who can escape the grasps of the crown, Captain Caspian, and the dreaded Wolf of the Sea- tch.. has my utmost respect, lass.” She seemed rather pleased with his answer, considering it was different than the oh-so typical

Link‘You’re a woman doing a man’s job’ speech. She chuckled softly, “So- Captain Sharpe, aye? I haven’t heard of your name on the seas, yet.. but I’m sure it’ll come soon.” The young man’s jaw tightened, he seemed a bit nervous, “I do hope so- but, ma’am, I just-“ He laughed awkwardly, “I can’t believe I’m talking to the Reaper of these seas.. I hope one day I can earn a title as impressive as yours..” Kai smirked a bit, sipping on her drink, “Oye, I’m sure it’ll be no time for you kid- just hope you don’t run into me on the seas.” She winked, snickering and gathering herself to her feet, “Might not be as courteous on the waters-“ The man quickly shook his head, “-And myself and my crew are prepared for that-“ She scoffed a bit, “..you better be prepared for anything, lad. Safe sailin then-“ She walked past him, ruffling the hair atop of his head.
