*Animator was leaning on a wall by the entrance of a building, trying to sew the side of their glove that had a hole in it*

Animator: *they heard her footsteps but didn’t bother to look up, they spent most of their time out and they were no stranger to the sound of heels clacking against the concrete. the sudden stop of the sharp noises struck a bit of curiosity in them and glanced up from their glove, looking in the woman’s direction*

Animator: *they watched her for a moment in silence, judging by her clothing they guessed she was someone important which was the kind of person they’d want to avoid, but of course they shook off their conscience without a second thought, Animator pushed themself off of the wall and tipped their hat so she wouldn’t see the top half of their face and just sauntered over with the needle still in hand*

Animator: *they stared down and continued sewing together their glove as they walked then stopped next to her, still keeping their distance. They were sure she noticed their shady ass staring at her before coming over since nobody in this town were that stupid well at least they hoped they weren’t, they just stood there, not exactly leaning on the wall though. They stood in silence for about a minute or so before speaking* ...waiting on your ride?

Animator: I- see. *they huffed, leaning forward trying to get the stitching right and spoke once again. Their voice was more of a calm one, probably because they were more focused on something else but still wanted to talk like the extrovert they were* you seem quite moody.

Animator: *their long straight hair blew in the wind as they glanced up from their now repaired glove, thought their eyes were unable to be seen they were looking back at her. They slightly smiled when she turned away* My apologies, I’m just blunt like that. *they tore the extra thread with their teeth*

Animator: oh? And why is that? *they put back on their glove while looking over at her, genuinely curious*

Animator: I guess you do have status after all. *they looked her up and down, they looked her in the eye for a quick second before averting their gaze and tipping their hat over their face more, they were a bit nervous after she looked over* no I don’t, I hate reading articles...mh. I feel as if you’re some sort of crime boss with all that talk

Animator: noted. *they let out a small nervous chuckle. they knew of most of the bosses there but to them she was- something new. They weren’t sure if she was lying but didn’t want to Make any rash decisions or they could potentially be on death row, they were left silently cursing themselves for not reading to begin with* well then miss crime boss, can I know your name?

Animator: it makes sense now. *they mumbled more so to themselves, they frowned slightly when seeing her frown. They could’ve never understood how she felt but decided to show some kindness anyway, their voice was less blunt and slightly kinder* well It’s nice to meet you Ms Sabir, *they held out a hand to her* I- don’t have many suitable names but people call me the Animator.

Animator: *they slightly smiled and nodded while looking out into the street* your driver must be running pretty late-

Animator: you should cut his pay, that’ll straighten ‘em out-

Animator: hm.. I suppose that’s understandable. *they looked down at her with a sigh* But you still gotta assert your dominance somehow, it ain’t exactly good when your men are late consistently that’s a lack of respect.

Animator: if you want that kind of respect you have to respect yourself first, you gotta have a strong mind, don’t let yourself get shaken up so easily. I’m no boss but I’ve met enough of em to know what it takes. *they spoke rather sternly but not too rough, they stared ahead with a sigh speaking more softer* got it?

Animator: *they rubbed the back of their neck when hearing her tone, Animator cleared their throat and glanced down at her* I’m sorry if I was too hard on you- ma’ am.

Animator: *they raised a brow wondering what she meant by it, as tempting as it was to ask they figured it wasn’t their business to. They sighed and leaned against the building*

Animator: *they looked over, confused* whats the matter?

She seemed confused. Aalaya walked over to her and waved again.

She couldn't hear what Avery said but saw her lips move, only then knowing Avery was talking to her. Aalaya proceded to move her hands around using sign language. (Hello, my name is Aalaya.)

She smiled, happy that Avery understood her. She nodded and started moving her hands again. (No, i don't know how to use my voice properly. It's nice to meet you Avery.)
