The forest that your oc lived in was known to have constant natural disasters. Some said the forest was cursed. Everytime winds got high a tornado or hurricane would spawn. Rain caused flash floods. Lighting caused fires. It was a pretty dangerous forest to live in.

Rowan stirred at the sudden sound of lightning, monstrous clouds conquering the once bright sky- or was it ever bright to start with? It grumbled and left its poorly-made makeshift den, ears flattened. Not the first time, but that doesn't mean it's pleasant or enjoyable. Knowing it'll have to settle on higher ground now, it shifted its mask a little to the side, allowing one partially-blind eye to see. They began to trek through the storm, bell chiming in protest as if disagreeing about going in these conditions.

Rowan could at least make out the brown blobs that must be trees, along with the bushes that were green blobs. It continued moving, not letting the sound of the lightning frighten it. He's been through worse, after all. However, a new scent got his attention, and he stopped for some moments, ears swiveling to the source of the scent that can be faintly detected despite the rainfall.
Rowan was able to make out the form of another feline, the contrasting colors of their light pelt and the brown tree making things easier for it. He had to bend down for a better view. "It's not safe here," he spoke, having to raise its voice due to the lightning. "You'll have to settle somewhere else... Higher ground. May be safer that way."
The cold tone left him unfazed. If anything, Rowan wasn't one to easily trust another either. However, neither of the two could stay here for long, that's for sure. |*Why did I come here and help, even though anything could happen just from one decision...*| Pushing that thought aside, an exhale left parted jaws. "You can't," it started. "But you can stay here, or take my assistance. But we've been here for a while... And we know how bad things can get."
An ear twitched when she seemed to agree with taking its help. "Alright then, you should come along then. I'm on my way to finding higher ground from here, make a temporary settlement, so this may benefit both of us." He then added, "The winds are strong, so feel free to grab onto my tail if you need to. If you don't want to get blown off your paws."
Rowan kept a mental note of the other's blindness. So, that is something they have in common, issues regarding eyesight. Well, it can still see a little, but it's a similarity. "Understood," he mewed. Due to not trusting the other close enough, his blindness is to be revealed later with time. It took careful steps forward, making out a blurry path that sloped up. For once was the chiming of his bell helpful in this situation, as it can serve as another guide, along with his scent. Sometimes would it stop to ensure she's still right behind it.

oh hello, zSyrup clone /j xDDD)
The brown feline resumed progress, and eventually did things start to appear in his cloudy vision. Taking cautious steps forward, Rowan saw the blurry outline of what seemed to be a den, an opening dug into the side of a mound-shaped structure (i struggle describing this omfg). "Hold on, I need to check it out," it mewed, briefly leaving her side to check inside. He can't clearly see without a close up view. After feeling certain it's safe, Rowan returned to Spot. "The den's safe," it mewed. "We should go in." With that, he guided her inside carefully.
Omg its zSyrup again GASP xD)
Rowan went in as well, taking some time to settle in. Now that it was safe, perhaps there can be an exchange of words. Glancing outside, despite being met with colorful blobs due to poor vision, he questioned, "How long have you lived in these parts? Unless if you're a traveler..." Though the last part may not be likely.
A brown ear twitched at the other's response. "I'm surprised you've survived for that long," Rowan mewed. "I'm assuming you've developed strategies and tricks to make up for your blindness." It does the same, having to rely on other senses that function normally. "If you are willing to answer, what's your name?"
