I wanna get a little better at my art, not saying I hate it

For me, I'd say sketch out what you are going to draw, and find a ref to draw what yu wanna draw.
I did that yesterday on a piece of paper and im actually quite proud on how it turned out!
Im gonna do a 'digital art version' of that drawing btw so incase you wanna see what i did, you can!
