Waiting I am Kind and Understanding. I wonder when you will be back and wrap me in your arms again and say, “Its ok, I’m here.” I hear the way the house creaks when the wind blows, The same house you left this world in. I see you sitting in the living room, watching your tv shows you always watched and scooted over for me to sit with you. I want you to to come back say you are healthy and stay with me. One more time with you is all I want. I am Kind and Understanding. I pretend that you are here as I stand in this empty shell of a house you once called home. I feel empty, Like there is a whole in my heart that can’t be filled without you here. I touch the only thing I have left to remember you, a small purple hat that I found in the remains of your house. I worry that I will never see you again, even in another life. I cry every time you are brought up in a conversation. I am Kind and Understanding. I understand you are gone and I will not see you anytime soon. I say I will see

you again, Even if not, I will still try. I dream that you are alive and healthy and I can have my great grandma back. That the doctors fixed you and you are ok, it was all a big misunderstanding.
