LinkOf course, this is just something to make sure you can find detail. I would recommend looking at a ref or many just to get it right. It's useful if you pull an image to your desktop, on a laptop/computer that is the boot/shoe you are going to draw. But on a tablet it may or may not be harder to draw detail. (If you have a picture printed or something it works too) Also I don't know if you did this but I also think you should make a sketch and show detail, so it shows where the boot/shoe meets the ground try to make it even. Making it press, as if it had weight inside the shoe to have more of a realistic look. Then have thiner lines where the pad part of the show shows lighter so the trace of it looks like its there or add a darker shade of black making it pop out. Also for the fuzz of the inside of the shoe, I say get the most thinnest marker/pencil shading and shade over it. also for the shoe laces get a dark black and make a pattern of shade making look like string. (Thats all I guess for now.)
