Do you need to use the bathroom or something?

I've always wondered the practical functionality of that legs pointed in, knees bent pose. Sure, it's cute, but why is it cute??? And why do anime peeps always do it? I tried it once (in a drawing) and it was cute, but really weird to think about. I looked like I needed to use the bathroom. Anyways, I really like the drawing. Aside from the pose that plunged me into deep contemplation, it's kewl... Even the pose.
