okay so. In my story, there are ghosts and Spirits, and they couldnt be more different. The ghosts wandering around are people who have died. Simple. You all get that. BUT then there are spirits. there were four. two were killed. they are basically, in the simplest description, an embodiment of the magic of the land. They took humans that caught their favor and gave them gifts and marking them, making the different species of the land, Humans, Elves, Woodwhics and sylphrocs. The spirits are not evil, they just dont think things through. The humans, angered, killed two of the spirits and sent the other two into hiding. there was a war or something because of it.
