LinkHe could've brought on a full-fledged highly paid moderation team with experience and coding skills and then completely done a full 180 for the website and you'd STILL find another reason to complain.
If you need a reminder, Tomasz is ONE guy. ONE ****ING GUY. And there was, at one point, THOUSANDS of us. Sure those numbers have dwindled, but theres still more of us than there is of him. He's also a fully grown man, this dude has a job (how else would he pay to host the site?), bills, and a full life he lives away from flipanim. Speaking from pwrsonal experience as someone with just a part-time job, that shit keeps you busy and can be soul-sucking. Often times it leaves you with no time to pursue other projects or things you started awhile ago. Its clear to me he has been thinking of these changes for a minute now.

LinkWe are all going through something right now let the site calm down a bit even ive calmed down i do agree there's no point fighting this in the end we would all be safer if nobody could do anything or that there would be severe restrictions because in the past so many people were hurt on here including me and theres really nothing you can do about it anymore because all actions needed to be taken in the past but were not there anymore. I may just be making nonsense but do u see what im trying to say

LinkI dont think any of the things in this update are just things he chose to do on a whim. Its clear to me that this was a long time coming.
I find it HYSTERICAL that so many of you want to blame him for the grooming done offsite as well, as if he was also supposed to follow all of his users to their discord servers and somehow stop us from doing heinous things to each other elsewhere. He did not take on that responsibility when he made this website, he could've never anticipated the level of awful things we would do to one another.
I dont like the guy, sure, but I feel like so many of you are ascribing responsibility to someone who has nothing to do with the situation that took place.
I know a lot of you want the site taken down, but you still wouldnt be happy with that. I know you wouldn't. Because you're still here whining and complaining. I think these changes are ultimately for the better, its a bandaid solution, but I'm sure more fixes will come in the future to properly aid the situation.
"Stop letting people get groomed!" Removes chatting features to allow himself more time to get everything sorted and make much needed improvements "Omg what are you doing this isnt what we wanted go back!"
I still dont get what he means by phasing the gallery and comments, like are they just gonna get nuked or is it just "you cant post and comment for a while"?
I seriously HATED how I was actively silenced by those people and treated badly.
It takes two seconds of common sense to realize the points like that are DUMB, and these guys are talking about some.. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was impossible, and harassing Tomasz is INAPPROPRIATE...I'm just a babeh.."

I'm just personally glad that Tomesz isn't just taking down the site; there's no reason to harp on his passion project just because some people are weird on the internet.
FYI tomasz is dead. He isnt the one who owns the site it's likely a co-owner because Tomasz died december 27th 2025

It's fine! That's why I asked for proof, I personally didn't believe he was dead because he was talking in first person all of his posts, never once referring to himself in the third
