One quiet day around town, kai was slugging down the sidewalk. It had been a good year and a couple of months after Mira had left him, and he was still looking like apsolute shit. The man had ruffled up, tangled mane and messy, dirty and wrinkly clothing. Papers had been going around town for a while, about kai going on a rampage for a good while before he just, stopped. He isolated himself in his office away from anyone and everyone. It had only been a few days he had actually got out of his little man cave, and it was unwillingky thats for sure. At this point he couldn't care less if he were killed, or hurt, or his town was taken over. After mira had left, he was also likely crushed and couldn't do a thing without breaking down over her. He had gone several nights without sleep, mostly out of fear he would have the same nightmare of her leaving every night. He really, r really felt broken after she had left him, he couldn't even bring himself to glance at the ring he was going to propose to her with.

*Mira-Jane was having a walk around town for old times sake after just coming back, Kyran well- he had to go home and unpack so she was pretty much alone Besides Mr. Flameheart following from a distance. She wore a white shirt with no shoulders and a black skirt. Ever since the thought of coming back crossed her mind, a feeling of guilt sat in her stomach but it was bearable. As she looked as different parts of town memories came flooding back, most of them were with Kai and though she really wanted to see him she needed to gather her thoughts first. She really wouldn’t know what to say if he happened to just be on the street when she was, she hadn’t heard anything from him in a year or so*

He ran a paw through his mane as he scanned the firmiliar buildings of his town. He wasn't sure how Shawn or any of his other rivals hadn't tooken over his place and killed him, but nevertheless, the city treasured some of his best and worst memories. He had bags under his eyes yet, A small smile as he looked around, as much as he didn't like it, he felt somewhat happy he was walking around his old town.

Mira-Jane: *her feather duster like tail elegantly swayed as she stepped off the sidewalk to quickly cross the street, her ears lowered when a certain alleyway caught her eye, the one where she first met Kai when he was injured. She was unknowingly staring at it with sadness but nostalgia until some footsteps from afar bought her out of her daze*

He let out a gentle yet, happy sigh as he didn't care to pay any attention to those around him, as he was lost in his own thoughts. It was obvious, that he hadn't been taking care of himself for a long time but nevertheless he seemed happy at the moment. His bright green eyes paused to stare at the little part that had been laid down where his old office had been burned down.

(My apologies for suddenly vanishing) Mira-Jane: *she was surprised by his sudden appearance but her surprised look became a look of worry with how he looked, at least he looked happy for the moment. She wondered if that smile would disappear when he saw her, that feeling of guilt in her stomach only grew at this point. She probably ruined this man, how could she show up in his life again? If she went home with that guilt now she would never bring herself to talk to him, she slowly inhaled mumbling a small “breathe” then exhaled. She was happy to see him after all, she loved him more than anything*

He watched the children play for a few moments before with a soft sigh, he turned towards her and continued walking, though he, as before only kept his focus on his buildings rather anyone around him.

She looked up at him, trying to stay calm and didn’t even notice she was holding her breath at that very moment*

His ears twitched gently and he arched a brow, coming to a stop. Something about the voice seemed- oddly firmiliar. But after what had happened and the pain he went through, he had tried to forget about his- about the love of his life. That included her gentle voice, the strongest memory he still had of Jer was when she had scolded him and left his life. His eyes flickered down to her and he paused for a moment, his ears lowered hen he realized who she was.
