Darkstalker is mentioned at the end of the book, as the true owner of the animus touched scroll. Moon reveals to her friends that it is Darkstalker's, and not for them to use. She then tells them that they should return the scroll to its rightful owner. The other dragonets disagree with this, but Moon sneaks away in the middle of the night to give the scroll to Darkstalker anyway. The dragons try to follow, but Peril, who got there first being a SkyWing, is told by Moon that Darkstalker had enchanted his own father to kill himself
