I wasn't sure about the facial expression but then I read the title and it totally makes sense, good job!
I'm not sure what's you're intention about the background
It should look a bit scribbly/messy I guess, but I would have used a color that makes a bigger contrast to yellow; maybe the orange a bit darker
But to be honest, that's just a matter of taste
