Nitara and North, as members of The Top 5, are not allowed to have feelings for each other, or be in a relationship at all. After 4 generations, The Top 5 fear that their love will get in the way of what’s really important, and that’s protecting the world from danger. North is smart, and knows that it’s for the best, while Nitara is stubborn, and refuses to let their jobs get in the way of their feelings. After a lot of talk, they did end up breaking up, only for Nitara to meet another guy and fall for him instead, which led to her having up to 7 kids. Despite North’s constant warnings, Nitara never listened. Karma obviously came for her when it turned out her job did get in the way of family time. She was never home, and wasn’t even able to tell her kids the real reason why. Her job is a secret, and she knows if they know about her being part of The Top 5, they’ll be in grave danger. None of the kids really cared about her always being gone overtime, and just grew used to it.
