So, he used to live as a toy to the queen (the cause for his constant playfulness) in the Contrast Realm. He had a shock collar and it would painfully stun him if he tried to run away, do something bad, or break a rule. He found a portal one day, within his collar limits, and didn't hesitate before going in. He found himself, collar and queen free, in the human realm.

However, the queen, with a newly learned magic, brought him back to the Contrast Realm.
