It was literally 1am so I was scream whispering “OH MY GOD IT’S THE WEBSITE CODE THE CODEEEE” like what an insane way to tease a song. And not to mention the parallels to the graphic novel and the director’s last log. Though, I don’t really think EIA links to the lore too much. I was tryna stretch the lore when only the singles were out but now after the actual album has released it’s clear that most of the songs are just personal to be some elaborate part to the story. But I like that a lot actually, it doesn’t interfere with the trilogy or anything and it feels like sleep token are taking a step in a different direction for their music and I AM HERE FOR IT

Also I hate redditors. Tell me why I’m seeing people complaining that EIA isn’t heavy enough. Mate. Sleep token. Is not. A. Metal. Band. WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING? 😭🙏 80% of their discography is pop and rnb. It’s hard to put a genre on them but I’d just say they have metal themes, I wouldn’t call them a proper metal band. They’ve always had a few heavy songs here and there, just like the EIA album, but that’s not what they’re really known for. I don’t know why that’s what people were expecting tbh…

Also EIA is a very small album so I guess there isn’t as much opportunity for heavy songs unlike TMBTE
