LinkBasically Nathan and Patchwork started off as different entities whos fates just happened to get a little too intertwined and now theyre both part of the same being
GeoTheSquare[OP]

LinkNathan (Human patchwork) got his soul forcibly removed from his body and put into a giant metal rabbit and was told that he was God now by a bunch of insane cultists

Linkso there Nathan (Human Patchwork) and the the Patchwork Machine as its called
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:10
Linkbasically these two are different entities who were forced to become one yet they both seek independence yet can never have it
GeoTheSquare[OP]

Linkthe Patchwork Machine acts more as a way to show dangerous and rampant bottled up emotions and feelings can be when left ignored and unchecked and in the case of Nathan he had gone years and years with all of this anger, sorrow, and misery festering deep within him that he refused to let out in fear of what could happen not just to himself but to others too
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:12
Linkhis fear or addressing these feelings and thoughts are eventually what allowed the Patchwork Machine to take almost full control over his mind whilst they were sharking the mechanical body
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:13
Linkall of that pain and agony that Nathan hid from others in fear of causing them pain almost caused the death of his only remaining friends and family due to the control of the Patchwork Machine
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:15
LinkNathans story also tells a tale of feeling unsafe and unwell within your own body and the pain that being forced into a mold can bring to someone and thats shown by Nathans rapidly declining mental state while trapped within the machines body

Linki plan on making full stories one day surrounding my characters and when, or if, i do i plan on having the Patchwork Machine and Nathan appear together in this unified mindscape as they continue to interact with one another
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:17
Linkand i plan to show the decline of Nathans well being by having him slowly turn more and more mechanical each time we return to this mindscape with his flesh and skin being slowly replaced by mechanical underlining and loose fabric
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:19
Linkmeanwhile The Patchwork Machine would continue to grow more and more lifelike and alive as its robotic interior and cloth like exterior begin to transform and shift into flesh and muscle along with skin and bone

Linkeventually i would have this lead to a point where Nathan is almost nothing more than a writhing pile of scrap on the ground, vaguely resembling who he once was meanwhile The Patchwork Machine would be standing tall and proud with its newly formed body built off the remnants of Nathans damaged psyche
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:21
Linkobviously The Patchwork Machine would not leave victorious over Nathan and his soul would inevitably be returned to his body but along would come the mind of the machine he was just trapped in
GeoTheSquare[OP]

Linknow adopting the name "Patchwork" Nathan would carry on as he tried his hardest to recover from the recent events yet the machines mind would never leave him and it would act more as a voice in his mind urging him to act out or push for certain things
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:25
Linkslowly overtime the two would become much more bonded but they would never reach the state of being contempt with each other mainly due to the fac that the Machines mind was built off of the negative emotions and feelings that Nathan had been keeping hidden away within him
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:25
Linkeventually Patchwork would even begin listening to the machines advice especially when it came to clearing out the remains of the Cerberus group
GeoTheSquare[OP]

Linkat a certain point in Patchworks story he gets trapped within an alternative reality/universe where a version of the Cerberus cult had managed to successfully construct their own God and deity to worship leading them to what they believed to be an age of prosperity and joy yet it could not be further from
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:28
LinkPatchwork, with both minds now in agreement, swore to slaughter and kill as many of Cerberus's soldiers as they had made it their primary purpose in existing beside one another
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:30
Linkbeing trapped within this universe for so long and wielding such immense power, Cerberus eventually grew to worship Patchwork in a sense believing him to be an angel of death sent down by "The Truth", the god they had made, to rid the world of those deemed unworthy or unfit for further use
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:32
Linknot a single soldier lived to give an accurate description of The Reaper, all that was known about him was the faint red glow of his scythe before he ripped the souls out of those he wished to prey on leaving their mangled bodies behind as the only physical proof of his existence
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:34
Linkeventually though, Patchwork discovers a way of returning to his original universe and makes use of it just a squad of Cerberus soldiers move in on his location
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:35
Linkhis short scuffle with the soldiers, and limited time to leave, causes him to leave behind his Scythe which the soldiers then retrieve and later display in the center of the capitol city as a sign to all that even death itself can be felled
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:36
Link(dummies didnt know that a piece of Patchworks very being was used in the construction of that weapon and that it grows more powerful the more that it slaughters and that it is, in a sense, alive)

Linkso yeah Patchwork is pretty cool it sucks that he dies trying to fight and kill one of the three beings that made the very universe in which he resides but hey he actually almost beats them so yknow what

LinkPatchwork and Amp are a duo you would never want to come across unless youre an unkillable god but even then they wont go down without making you hurt a lot first

Linki really really like patchwork and his story because i feel that it does pretty well at shining on light on how important emotional honesty when it comes to yourself and your well being but also the well being of those around you who feel and care for you on such a deep level and how damaging it can be if such emotions are hidden, the understanding of being scared and afraid of letting yourself feel those emotions because your scared that those around you will hurt as a result or they'll leave or abandon you because of such feelings
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:43
Linkand yet how important it is to properly feel and express those emotions in ways that are healthy as to avoid causing any damage to you and possibly those around you
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:45
Linkand also how even if those emotions do manage to take over and they do end up spilling out in a way that hurts, that there will always be people who are willing and able to help you push through and who are willing to support you in that fight because you matter and no matter how angry or sad or miserable you feel those people will always be willing to support and comfort you because you are important to them and you being okay and healthy is what matters to them most
GeoTheSquare[OP]
19.04.2025 04:46
Linkthey would never abandon you or leave you to fester with your own demons, they would stand by you when you need support, back off when you felt you needed distance, but no matter what they would be there for you until the end

LinkPatchworks story truly isnt about a giant mechanical bunny rabbit but is really about how difficult it can be to process and feel emotions, how scary it can be to process negative feelings in fear that you will harm those that you love. His story is one of growth and self betterment and how important it is to have others that love you but also to be able to love yourself

Linkthe body hes trapped inside being a bunny is just because giant evil bunnys are super cool and even cooler if theyre mechanical
Patchwork is a determined and fairly straightforward individual, onvehe has his sights on a task he usually does everything within his power to complete it with the only things capable of wavering his focus being the sakes of his loved ones. His management of his grief and his fear of hurting those he loved eventut led to him hurting them anyways and the consequences of that decision will stay with him forever, but instead of letting it take over and control him he finds ways to manage and power through life, he learns from the results of his actions and tried his best to better and improve himself. Patchwork loves and cares for his friends and family to no end and he is willing to fight to the death for them, which eventually he ends up doing. while Patchworks death led to a defeat in the corresponding battle, his sacrifice is what paved the way for those he care about to preserve and move forwards to a victorious future.
His mind at rest and his thoughts at peace, Patchwork is able to move on and find comfort in his life, yet even after death his soul leaves a remaining impact on the universe. It's inscription into his Scythe lay a new path for the future, the destruction of Cerberus, the ability to look past those who prey on fear and intimidation. Even after Patchworks death, his mark on existence as a whole has been betong substantial and he will be forever remembered as more than just his wrong doings and mistakes, he will be remembered for his brave moments and his will to get things done, his unwillingness to falter and bend at the sight of a challenge and his determination to fight to the end for the ones he loved
