But it just- irks me when I see people role-playing as characters that..well aren't theirs? To me it feels stolen-?
An example would be someone trying to rp as bendy from batim
Im not sure why but it makes me uncomfortable
I think if I get a better understanding I could empathize but I'm most likely not going to change my opinion

I know for me at least that I've put YEARS into karma and ya she's my pride and joy..
But when I see ppls rp'in as someone else's pride and joy I'm like bruhh..
like sans for example is a charming laidback, carefree, friendly npc skeleton that loves telling puns and is self aware that timelines exist, he only becomes a major boss fight character only if you kill every monster you come across in the game.
then ppl make him to a horny and disgusting uncharming character that does unreasonable stuff...
I mean it makes sense to me only if like. You're trying to make ur oc interact with a Canon character but I dunno 😭
True! But then again, fors it matter if someone goes "well this character and my oc grew up together here's the lore I made"? If anything I think it helps some people develop *some* analytical skills (if they force themselves to be accurate to the character) but now I'm just going on and on lmao
