First, I would like to preface this by saying that none of these questions are intended to offend or hurt anybody. I am just a simple girl, and I would like to get my information from people who know these things. So if I ask a question that may, to you, seem like I am trying to be rude or anything like that, it's not because I am trying to be insensitive. I just don't know how to ask properly, as I haven't been exposed to this content in real life.

You could be thinking of ze/zir, that's a more mainstream version. Ze/Zim is probably out there too-- but anyways-- According to quick searches it can refer to a person with a gender neutral view of themselves or zir/m gender. Or fall under neopronouns. It's hard to pin point direct definition, because a lot of gender, pronoun, expression identification, again, is all from the comfort and experience of the person/etc using them.

If someone is aromantic, does that mean they won't be in a relationship? Why do people identify as aromantic? (This question is not targeted at ANYONE; it is just me trying to satisfy my curiosity. Please don't take this question personally; I don't know how else to ask)

(Not speaking from experience /nneg) Aromanticism can differ depending on the person. Usually it's a person who doesn't experience romantic attraction to any one or more persons. Emphasis on ROMANTIC. Aromanticism can also be used as an umbrella term and a LOT of different people can fall under it, so their levels of potential attraction may shift. For a BROAD sense, aromantic means you don't have nor feel comfortable with romantic attraction. but that does NOT mean you can't have a relationship! QPP, queer platonic partners, is a type of relationship that involves a very close, or what some would call intimate, friendship, but it's not anymore than that. Sometimes it's in a category of it's own, but it's not romantic. Aromantic people may also be comfortable with having strictly sexual relationships, but no more than that. Like said, it alters depending on the persons!

As for why, aromantic people, so I hear, usually just don't feel comfort in or want romantic relationships. (There are different examples where they do, but this is a broad statement,) They simply just don't feel that kind of attraction. They may feel things close to it, but never quite exactly. But again. VERY BROAD. It can change a whole lot depending on the person. It's umbrella for some people.

People identify as aromantic because they don’t feel romantic attraction or don’t want to be in a romantic relationship, they also could be repulsed by romance.

It makes me really uncomfortable :( So i use they/them pronouns in place of that! I don't really feel like I belong as a male or female 🤷 I suppose you could describe it as I feel like 'nothing'? Or just flat out genderless

So I can answer this, I’m non binary and I identifyed as a Demi boy for a while before settling on non binary + they/them. So personally, I have a lot of dyphoria and I thought it was something everybody had, so I would talk about it like it was normal to hate my body in every way and my friends would tell me that that wasn’t normal. And growing up I never really related to my assigned gender in any way and that’s why I never told anyone on here my assigned gender before I found out I was trans. as I grew up and naturally starting getting more dyphoria the internet smacked me in the face with the term trans. I identified as trans for a long time before realizing I never really fit into the pronouns I was using at the time. I found non binary and tried out he/they for a while and that’s what I liked. I don’t remember what made me change my pronouns to they/them but I think it had to do with me not looking like my pronouns in a way. But yeah it just goes on for along time and I could write an essay about hav-

Hey, as another cis person, I get this. I've talked to people who aren't cis about it- and usually I get the same healthy responses: It is OKAY. If you mess up or get confused. It's NOT OKAY to do it on purpose or ignore it for funzies. You're not intending to create offense or invalidate someone, so do not stress. The main thing to do if you're confused is ASK. Asking is better than stressin' and trynna guess. Most people on here when it comes to that are CHILL AF. Asking won't hurt you, and it helps to ensure you respect as you intend!! /pos

yeah i never grew up with that kind of stuff like different pronouns and lgbtq, I didn't know what that was until I was like 12 it's because I was moved around a lot in foster care and I never kept up with the world (and my untreated neurodivergence/anxiety didn't help either) and I am going to a Christian school so I am not encountering this stuff irl and the school keeps lgbtq people out because they are THAT kind of christian, the kind that doesn't give people the opportunity to come to know Jesus. Just because people aren't cis straight people doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to get high-quality education and good morals and having faith in Jesus, who gladly and willingly suffered a horrible, painful death--- for EVERYONE'S sins--- because of who they love or the fact that they're uncomfortable in their own skin. This is the kind of Christian I don't like-- because they believe that lgbtq+ shouldn't be given the chance to know our divine, perfect creator.

i feel strongly about this because in 10th grade, my friend came out as bisexual, and she has always felt insecure about herself and her identity and her body. And you know what my God-fearing school did? They didn't try to talk her through it. They didn't try to sympathize or let her express herself. they SUSPENDED HER, because she is bisexual. And she was already going through hell because her parents were going through a divorce and they were showing favoritism to her sister. That was kind of the tipping point for her, and her depression skyrocketed and she was hurting herself, and she was committed to a mental hospital, and this year she was committed again. She hasn't attempted s*icide, and she is getting help, but i feel like if she could have felt comfortable in her own skin and she was able to feel like she could talk about her feelings, (and her parents didn't show EXPLICIT FAVORITISM to their other daughter) then she would not be in that situation. (not done)

I feel like there is something i could have done but every time i think back to what happened i couldn't find a way for me to help her. I just have to trust that God is going to take care of her, and only He knows what's going to happen. God only lets bad things happen because He gives us free will to make decisions for ourselves (He could have totally made us mindless robots who only loved Him but instead he gave us the beauty of decisions), and you can't have good without evil. So I just need to trust that God's got this, and His plan is good and for the betterment of the world that He lovingly crafted from nothing.

So I am going to try to explain what it’s like having dyphoria and being trans: Imagine waking up one day in a body that’s not your own. It’s horrible, the worst body ever. You just want the memory of what your old body was like, the one you were comfortable in. But you are stuck in this body, and even looking at yourself cracks your self esteem. And you tell people you want to get back into your old body, but they laugh, say that your faking, say that your sinning for being like this. But you did not choose to be like this. And all you can do is slowly change things about they body you have until it’s like your own, but their is to many obstacles on the way. And every single time you even look at yourself or hear your name or given pronouns you crumble into a heap of anxiety and depression, it haunts you, it traumatizes you.

Woah okay. So no. In general there are as many as we think up, there's not a number. Mainly because people who use pronouns that aren't 'traditional' identify with what they find comfort in. Whether that be an emoji, object, animal, etc. Pronouns aren't always correlated directly to gender either, so it gets super complicated. To put blankly. No.. No, we don't, because people create new ones that they think fit them better every day!! I think it's super swag :D
