We lived in a small village called Sprout Valley. It was a dark and cloudy night. Everyone was at camp was gathering supplies and huddling in the main hut, ready for a big storm to roll over the sky. The mothers kept their kids close to them and the senior adults guarded the doors and made sure they were locked tight. This was the first hurricane they had in years, and they weren't ready for it until there was a flood that swept their barn away a couple of weeks ago. And ever since then, they've been getting ready for this.

When things in the RP start happening, I will post them up here on this chain.

- Eventually everyone woke up. That's when the clouds started gather and the sky went dark. The hut was dim now. Kids and adults started to chatter quietly as we all started to move to the middle of the hut. The rain suddenly started pouring and children started to whimper and cry. Lightning struck down and shook the earth. The storm was here. -

FC: > He got up and shook out his pelt and cleared his throat. < The storm shouldn't be too far off. We have everything we need. Food, water, supplies and bathing materials. Everyone has their own bed. The kids will sleep with their mothers. We will get through this, no matter how long the storm lasts. > He announced bravely. <

Hawk: > He stood up and padded over to Aspen and curled up next to her. < It's ok Aspen, this will all be over soon. > He nuzzled Aspen to comfort her. < ... we just have to pray.

Hawk: > He smiled and started grooming her, hoping to calm her down. < Dusty: > Dusty looked at Hawk and Aspen and narrowed his eyes to slits and growled silently. He wasn't about all that lovey dovey crap. He just cared about his job, keeping everyone safe. He only thought of relationships as slacking off to be with someone you care about. < Hmph.

Hawk: No problem. I could tell you were a little tense, > He sighed and sat up and glanced around the room. Everyone but him, Aspen, Dusty and FC were asleep. < Hm. It's getting late, Aspen. You should get some sleep. ^^"

Hawk: Goodnight. > He padded over to Dusty and sat down. < It's late. I think you should rest too, I got this. Dusty: No, i'm not going to rest. It's my job to keep guard. You go ahead and get some sleep, i'll keep watch tonight. Hawk: Erm.. ok then. > Hawk when't over to Aspen and lied next to her and fell asleep.

- Le morning -

Everyone else except for Aspen: > STill sleEpinG <

FC: > He rolled over and stretched and let out a big yawn. He sat up and glanced around. His vision was blurry but he knew someone else was awake. < Er, goodmorning Aspen.

FC: How are you? > He yawned again and scratched behind his ear. He still wasn't fully awake. <

FC: I'm fine, just moving slow. Amara: > She stretched out and opened her eyes and sat up. < Oh. Good morning you too. > She got out of bed and trotted over to the others.

Jay and Rose: > They squeezed in close to their mom when they heard the lighting. < Eep!

FC: It's here.. > He whispered. < Dusty, Hawk, FC and some others helped keep the door secure.

FC: > He nodded. < The storm. Just stay close together, it will only last for more that 30 minutes. At least I think it should.. Dusty: It's going to last longer than that! It's not just a couple of clouds, pigeon-brain! > He growled, holding the door back. <

Hawk: Don't speak to the chief like that, Dusty. You have to respect his opinions! > He spat. < The door swung open and Dusty and Hawk flew forward. A dark shadow rushed in and the doors slammed shut. The shadow shook out it's pelt and emerged from the darkness. He was a tall wolf with pointy ears and wings. He glared at everyone in the room and slid to the back of the hut and curled up without saying a word.

Fangs just lied there quietly. He lived in the camp with everyone else, but the barely see him around. It seems FC forgot about him when he announced roll call.

FC: He's an old friend of Dusty's. He doesn't come around much. Dusty looked down, closed his eyes and sighed heavily.

FC: He's.. forbidden from this valley. Though he has no where do go. SO we let him stay in the village. > He licked his paw. <

Dusty: He's forbidden from Sprout Valley because he's a um.. he's a vampiure. And he can't stay out in the water or the sun for too long. > He grumbled. < That's all I know.. Fangs gave Dusty a weary glance.

Dusty nodded.

Fangs: You only banned me because you despise my kind. It's not my fault. > Fangs hissed, looking at FierceClaw. < FC: ... I don't despise you. I just don't care for you. Your 'kind' tore my village to pieces three years ago. That was the past.

Fangs growled and put his tail over his face. The whole hut when't quiet, besides the thumping of the rain on the roof.

FC sighed and looked away. SO did Dusty. Hawk slowly padded over to Fangs and put his paw out. Hawk: Um.. hello? Fangs quickly turned around and snapped at him. Hawk jumped back and froze.

Fangs and FC: They both let out a big sigh and FC stood up. FC: Now is not the time to sit here and do nothing. None of you have eaten and I can imagine that you might be a little famished. We don't have much.. but there are some berries and prey in the rations pile. Help yourself. Kids and mothers eat first. > He sat back down and licked his paw. <

Amara: > She hopped over to the rations pile and picked out a nice plump mouse and carried it over to her kids. < The other mother did the same and left three voles and a couple of berries. Hawk: Someone needs to go and hunt, FC. We're getting low on food.

FC nodded. The storm was over, but the land of just slightly flooded here ad there. The lake was open, So he sent out Dusty, Hawks and some other volunteers to go hunt for fish.

The others came back right before the storm started up again. The came back with two mice, some fish and berries. FC: Ah yes, thank you boys. ^^

Hawk: > He noticed Aspen, dropped his catch and padded over to her and curled around her and licked her ears. < Hey, it's okay. Like FC said, it'll all be over soon. We need this water after the drought anyways..

Hawk: Me neither.. I can be scary. We just have to wait it out. > He snuggled her and kept her warm. < (Not a ship btw.)
