There is a well known cheif person on our Island Named Kamehameha the first. It all ended at a woman named Pauahi. She and her husband in this case is the founder of KAmehameha schools and she sadly didn't have any kids which meant the true end to hour monarchy. But before her there was a queen named Queen Liliuokalani. And during her reign some overthrowers that were not from Hawaii and they locked her up in her castle with guns surrounding the castle. SHe was not allowed to leave until she gave up her thrown. which she did. leaving the Hawaiian kingdom/monarchy thing to end.
