"Oh- yeah, yeah no-no I wasn't either- I really just. Footballed your ass- I'm so sorry." He held up his hands reassuringly, laughing.

He seemed to step off awkwardly, glancing around himself, then he looked back up, remembering what he was doing, "Being here or not, you may be incredibly busy, but I would like to try and not make your day worse from here on out- my friend owns a cafe around here, could I force him to make you something?"

In all honesty he assumed the gesture would be enough and he could go off to whatever he needed to do, but things don't always go his way. He gave a nod, not having energy to force a more realistic smile, walking around him, waving his hand to signal him to follow, "Around here." After a moment he looked over his shoulder, "Name's Alvin, by the way."
