Nephthys is an Egyptian goddess and unlike other ancient cultures, the ancient Egyptians had specific deities who presided over the realm of death and the passage to it. One of these was Nephthys, the goddess of death and the night. She was the fourth child of the earth, Geb, and the sky, Nut, and was originally associated with the air or the sky. She was also killed by others when others discovered her beauty and decided to make something out of it so they cut her up and took almost all of her insides out during the process she was blindfolded bc they didn't want to damage her eyes, and as they called upon their gods they asked for immortality for her and asked to forever live but the gods decided to make her into something more, and that was to make her into the balance between Death and Life, and soon the gods tried to kill them but they ran away and till this day they still live rent free but Nephthys still remains to look for them for her freedom!
