I cant tell if he is a orphan or he just signed up to camp camp by himself
His parents didn’t care enough to come or to sign him up for anything. They just sent him to get rid of him. He has neglectful parents and possibly abusive too. Most abused children get attached to something *coughs in teddybear* and he flinches a lot. And he clinically depressed at age 10 like come on now
either was Max a pain of a ass in a way were they wanted to get rid of him or did they go **** this useless kid and sent them to camp cambell.
I think it’s the second one cuz he literally cries, meaning he knows his parents don’t care enough for him. He also makes “jokes” about parents sending kids to camp so they don’t have to deal with them, repeating his own experience but not telling straight up to the audience. I think Max has a lot of backstory that they should add in season 5

Also he doesn’t have any affect in almost getting killed several times. And even thinking he might get killed, he doesn’t seem to be bothered
