y'all i just wanna say i can't stress this enough suicide and depression are no jokes. people get seriously hurt because of them having depression, sometimes killed because of suicide. it's a long painful process to live with, and the sad thing is, after a while, the people with depression stop wanting to be happy. they stop believing life has a purpose, that they have a purpose, and they can't even imagine a life without depression. it's so hard to get help for many of them, either because they're scared of change, or being involuntarily sent to a mental hospital. many of them die before they're able to get help. it's sad. depression should be taken seriously. it's a very dangerous thing, that people unfortunately treat like nothing. depression isn't sadness, as i've also said before. depression can have, not only mental and emotional impacts, but physical impacts. if you're curious, here's a list of symptoms/ signs, along with different kinds of depression. https://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/de

-y friends had it) if you do end up having depression, here's what i recommend- though it won't always work. i know it works for me, though, which is why i recommend it. -talk to friends more often, don't be afraid to vent. it might be hard to go out, but try to get your friend's number so you can still talk to them while not having to go out more often. -exorcise. you will both improve your physical health and your mental health by doing so. start off small at first, but slowly move on to harder tasks. -try to draw more often. specifically draw your emotions and how you feel. it's a great way to get it all out where nobody can really judge you. angry at someone? draw you punching them or something. i do it all the time and it works, same for most people
