Mariana blasted fire at the chains, melting them into a bubbly mess. ??? falls to the ground and Mariana leaps to catch them before they hit the ground. She works her claws gently around the muzzle and pulls it off, wincing when she noticed the raw scales underneath. She reached into the bag slung over her shoulder and pulled out a large bottle of water. "Here, drink this." she hands the bottle to ???.

"My name," she replies, fixing her satchel on her shoulder, "is Mariana. What's yours? Your name, I mean."

Mariana glances around too. "WHat are we looking for?" she asks. "Who chained you up like that?"

"the... Lion? who the heck is that? When I find him, I'll rip him to shreds." She flexes her sharp black claws threateningly.

"where is he?" she asked Salmon. Raising her voice, she roared "HEY LION DUDE GET OUT HERE AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN"

Her voice revertebrated around them, the dragon's angry roars bouncing back to their ears.

Mariana snarled. "Still hiding like a coward?" she spat, glaring at wherever the Lion's voice had come from.

Mariana throws Salmon off of Lion and grabs him by the throat, slamming him against the wall in a death grip. She holds his throat with one talon and his hands with her other talon. "Tell me one good reason why I shouldn't rip your throat out." she snarls in his face.

she grabs lion by the throat not salmon I shoulda made that clear

"no." Mariana smiles at him. "Only you." She tightens her grip on his throat, cutting off his air supply and making him writhe beneath her claws. "You deserve to burn." she snarled. "You deserve to be ripped in half. You deserve to be slowly boiled alive. You don't deserve a quick death, for what you did to Salmon."

(lol i have a dark mind sometimes)

Mariana whirls around, her talons still gripping Lion. She bolts to the chains where Salmon was hung from and chained him up, taking a set of keys from him. She launches herself toward the guards with an earth-shaking ROAR and shashes at them, slamming them with her powerful tail and ripped her claws through their faces. She shoves Salmon out of the way since he is still kinda weak from being chained up. Also so she could blast fire at the guards, setting them ablaze. They fell to the floor shrieking and thrashing in agony. Another guard behind her zapped her with the spear, and she screeched, "OW" before setting him (and the spear) on fire. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Lion watching with an amused expression. So she picked up a spear and jabbed him in the side with it. "Tell me why you did this to Salmon." she barked. "Or I'll shock you where it REALLY hurts."

(wow that was fun to write)

Mariana rolls her eyes. Still standing near Lion, with the spear pointed at him, she asks Salmon, "Since this guy literally cannot tell the truth, do you know why he did this to you?" (do you have a ref for Lion because I keep imagining the mayor from Zootopia lol)

Mariana pokes Lion with the spear. Hard. He yelps. "What in the three moons does THAT mean?" she snaps. "why won't anyone explain anything to me??"

"well, considering I am in the 'aquatic life' category, we can't let that happen, now, can we?" Mariana glowers at Lion.

She zaps him again with the spear.

"So why are you trying to kill aquatic life?" Mariana asks.

"Why- what- who-" Mariana spluttered. Then she burst out laughing, clutching her sides and rolling on the floor in hysteria. After a moment, she calms enough to wheeze, "FREAKS?!?!? you think WE"RE freaks??? Look at you! You're so ridiculous that I just can't even. I am literally unable to can. " She howls with laughter again, tears streaming down her face.

"THAT. WAS. AWESOME!!" She runs up to salmon and wraps him up in a big hug. After a small moment it becomes awkward and she pulls away, blushing.

(that was so sudden he just snaps his neck)

"okay. That was cool, I won't deny it." Mariana says. "But, uhh, we still havent figured out why he wanted to get rid of all aquatic life, or what he wanted with you. And the only way that I can think of to get that information was from interrogating him so maybe snapping his neck wasn't such a good idea. Unless you know why he was doing this?"

"grr. Well, i guess we'll never know. Speaking of knowing things, do you know how to get out of here? Or what this place is called?" Mariana asks.

(yes yes yes yes yes)

(lets make it happen *high fives you*)

"well, THAT'S stupid." Mariana walks over to Lion's corpse, studying it. She remembers something "I've read too many books where the villain somehow manages to survive, so..." She rips Lion's body open, his guts spilling out. She reaches into the gaping hole and tears out all of his vital organs, shredding them. She grins at Salmon and says, "you wanna help me dismember him?" (mariana you romantic thing you)

(NOO I HAFTA GO TO BED AU CAN WE FINISH THIS TOMORROW PLEASE I WANNA MAKE SALRIANA CANON)

The pair work together and they take Lion completely apart. Halfway through Mariana finds his heart. "WOW this thing is tiny." she says. She glances sideways at Salmon. Grinning evilly, she grabs a talonfull of organs and smashes it into Salmon's face. She bursts into laughter and sprints away from him.

(also notice how I said "pair")

*sniffs* AU our babies are all grown up! I'm so proud of them, dismembering a body *cries in proud*

Mariana shrieked as Salmon chased her, and the guts flew everywhere as they flung them across the room. Mariana flew up to the rafters and stuck her tongue out at Salmon. The next thing she knew more organs were in her face. She screamed. "SALMON" She flew back down and tackled him. They flipped over and landed in a heap on the floor with Mariana on top.

Mariana laughs nervously

Mariana hears and she blushes so much its like her face is glowing

"its okay" Mariana looks away and the moment becomes awkward.

Mariana whipped her head around, looking for the voice. Leaning in next to Salmon, she whispered "that had BETTER not be Lion"

They stood up. Mariana looked at the bloody mess that used to be Lion but it was unmoving. "Hmmm.." she murmured.

Mariana gasped and scrambled upright, pulling Salmon up as well. She stepped in front of him to shield him and asked, "who the heck are you?"

"OH CRAP, HADDOCK" Mariana cried. She rushed to the Seawing-Rainwing and asked, "Have you seen a white SeaWing with pinkish eyes a gold earring and he looks just like me? I broke in here for him originally but then I found this guy-" she gestures to Salmon (who had an odd expression on his face) "- and saved him. I don't know how I forgot about Haddock!"

(Haddock is a SeaWing who is albino)

"Me too." Mariana says, "but where is he?? If he's dead..." Mariana didn't finish the sentence.

"And who are these guys?" she asked Salmon. "and WHERE is HADDOCK!" Salmon had that weird expression on his face again.

AAAAaaaAAAaAAUUuuUUUuUUuu

"GRRR" Mariana stormed away, looking for a door. She found one, but it was locked. SO she literally grabbed the door and ripped it off the hinges, flinging it aside and causing the other three dragons to scramble back. She stomped into the hallway, which was dimly lit. "HADDOCK" she bellowed, her voice echoing around the building. She walked down the hallway, Salmon and the others in the room still.

(IT SPIDER) "JEEZ" Mariana screeched, slamming the door shut and scrambling backward. She raced to another door and opened it, finding a sad sky-blue SeaWing chained up on the wall. The dragon's scales looked dry and she was so skinny that Mariana could see her bones jutting out in sharp angles. She stepped closer, Salmon and Riverrose and Void behind her but standing outside the small room. When Mariana checked the SeaWing's pulse, she found none. Tears slipped down her cheek as she undid the chains and laid the SeaWing down in a relaxed position. "She's gone," Mariana whispered sadly. She led the others out the door and closed it gently, not meeting any of their gazes as they continued to look for Haddock.

The group walked down the hallway until they came to the last door. Mariana opened it. "HADDOCK!" She cried, galloping to the albino SeaWing and taking his claws in hers. He opened his bloodshot eyes blearily and, for what seemed to be the first time in a long time, smiled. "I knew you'd find me. I never gave up hope." he whispered, his voice crackly. Mariana undid his chains and wrapped him in a gentle hug before turning to the others. "Guys, this is Haddock. He's my brother!"

(yes Haddock is technically part NightWing in this wwyd but canonically he's a pure albino SeaWing)
