As Snowball groomed Crystal, she relaxed intently, nuzzling into his chest and eventually falling asleep. He knew that Napoleon was up and awake, the dogs were utterly tired, so Snowball let them sleep.
He had enough strength to defend himself and his dearest Chris. Snowball seen one of the dogs awake. "May you watch Napoleon? I need sleep..." the dog nodded and sat next to Napoleon, digging daggers into him with eyes, getting on Napoleon's nerves, but he kept still, not wanting to be stripped of his soul by this dog.
Snowball held Crystal protectively and laid his on the hay, his neck gently on Crystal's back. He fell asleep quickly.
A few days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, Napoleon's wound had healed, and Winter has come to an end. It was warmer, and the snow melted.
Napoleon and Snowball somewhat forgave each other, but in the night Napoleon just ran off. They have not seen him since. Snowball awoke from his sleep, seeing crystal catching up with her children.
One of the dogs, the light gray female, found a mate and is now pregnant with her first litter.
He still knew Crystal longed to have her own babies, and so did he, and they loved each other. It was the fact that they were not the same species that they were stopped.
But their love was the best thing he could ever have other then babies was his true love.
One night, as they all slept, Old Major's spirit came down from the stars and padded silently into the barn.
He padded to Crystal and gently pressed his muzzle on her belly he there was a pink light forming and the form of a kitten's face formed and floated in midair.
It then came down going into her belly, causing the light to ripple and fade. He then touched noses with the two, giving them the sensation of being parents.
Also mostly for Snowball, so he knows the babies are his. Old Major then smiled and vanished.
