He looked over at her and cracked a smile "Happy aren't cha'?" He tapped the steering wheel as they went down the street. They eventually pulled into a driveway filled with nice cars. He took out they keys and sat there for a moment before turning back to her "Hey there is something you should know..My parents are a uh...Little old fashioned. They don't exactly approve of my life but they tolerate it because I'm their son..But you'll be fine they'll love you!" He smiled glancing at the houses window

Ada sighed and nodded "Thanks, I appreciate it karma.." he smiled but he was still nervous, but less about him but about her. His family could sniff out an outsider and rip them apart like a predator and it's prey. Hopefully they'd hold off if they knew she was with him

Ada got out of the car locking it behind him. He joined karma frozen at the door before he cleared his throat and adjusted his collar. Reaching out Ada knocked three times on the door before pulling his hand away. The soft noise of people inside could be heard

Ada looked down at her and took her hand quietly, he smiled though just like always and looked at the door as it opened. A short lady and a tall man dressed In old fashioned 2000 clothes. They were dressed like they were stuck in time. The inside of their house even looked like it. "Oh Ada it's so good to see you! Oh look at your hair it's a mess you should cut it! I have a pair of scissors in the kitchen y'know!" The mother rambled as she grabbed Adas face and pulled him down to her level to she could mess with his hair. On the other hand the father had his arms crossed and was looking at Ada before shifting his gaze and glared at Karma

The woman turned her attention to karma and Ada and his dad were just glaring at each other. "Oh!- this must be the girl you told us about- oh my" she started touching karma's hair before she noticed karma's horns and pulled away. At the same time Ada put his hand on his mother's shoulder kind of leading her away from karma. "Yes it is mom, now can we go inside it's cold" "Oh! Yes yes- I just didn't expect her to be...So short oh well nothing a pair of high heels can't fix!" The mom turned around walking in, still rambling. The dad still glared at Ada untill Ada squeezed past him. Ada clutched her hand as he lead her past his father who was looking at her well unique features

She's nice it's the mean dad who makes this family miserable) The mom lead them to a table where there were only a few other people. An old man, a little girl and a very handsome man sitting at the table "Oh Ada look who came all the way from New York! Grandpa and your brother and niece! Oh it's so nice to be here all together it hasn't been like this in oh so long and- Oh!" She realized she was talking to much when Adas father walked in and gave her a look. Ada and karma had to sit next to the handsome guy "that's my older brother..And his daughter is next to him." He mumbled to karma as they sat. Adas father sat across the table from them

The girl had her face buried in a tablet. But Ada smiled avoiding eye contact with his father now. The mother got up excitedly as the oven rang. She scurried to the kitchen and brought a good looking cooked turkey. "Oh it looks so good yummy yummy! When I was a little girl my mother used to cook us the most beautiful turkey hopefully this one is as good as mother's and-" the dad took the turkey from her and set it down on the table. The mother went quite and sat down. "Looks okay." He said as he cut it without another word only serving himself

"Oh! Why thank you dear! The recipe was actually my great great grandmo-" once again the father cut her off "Don't talk to the devil Margret!" He looked at her and she got quite. It was apprent now of all the crosses on the wall. "She not a devil dad.." Ada looked up at him both of them glaring at each other

"down the hall and to the left dear" the mother said as neither Ada or his father maxel would break the glare they had going on. the brother had been awfully quiet but he was beaming like this was the best day of his life

Finally his father broke the thick air. "A succubus. Are you that desperate for love that you need a creature of lust and sin to lay with you?" He looked at Ada who was avoiding his eyes again "Karma doesn't like being called such things dad. She is an intelligent being who is not defined by her species. Much like our own" Ada looked at him now with a chillingly calm expression. Here we go again

The sound of his father yelling could be heard.."You useless boy why can't you be like your brother!" "My brother. Dad if I am not mistaken your son only has money because he dates rich women like it's a sport. If I have to remind you dad I have done far beyond your worldy expectations. I've won awards only given to the smartest of the smart and I've single handedly changed the world with my technology. I event create and destroy for a living and when I see something about the world I don't like I change it. So I APOLOGIZE if I am still not up to your standards but I will not have you slander karma as she is her own intelligent and unique and betutiful and caring person on this world including your wife and you still insist on treating them as lower beings because of your books and religion. Get your head out of your ASS and get over her species. It doesn't define her. Much like our own species we were made to mate and kill. I could kill you and stick to the human stereotypes." Ada seemed smart when arguing

The mother screamed as Ada held her "shit! We need to leave!-" "Leave the girl here! This is just the power of healing compelling the powerful amount of sin from her body!" "Deal with your OWN problem's before you judge her. Mom the food was delicious but we must get going!" He spoke while gathering his things and carried Karma out in his arms. Margret followed them in a panick as she was worried for the girl but stopped at the doorway. The dad screamed after them as Ada loaded Karma into the car without looking back

"don't be sorry it was my fault, I should've said something sooner I shouldn't have even brought you they do this with anyone I bring." He started the car and backed out of the driveway. His dad ran out and threw the plate of food they had left at his car

"Why would I?" He glanced down at her while trying to drive. "The only reason I wanted to go is because mom was excited to meet you. And I was excited you'd get to be more involved with my life. I would never just leave you there. It's over now though, and we don't have to go back."

"I...I did what I had to Karma he was a bad guy" Ada didn't like talking about it as much as Karma didn't like talking about the time she spent away. Ada gripped the wheel tightly

Ada went quite, he just moved her off him into the seat next to him. Ada stared forward and said nothing. Not a single word. His normal face of relaxed and chilled mood was shifted into a look of utter just,, nothing. You couldn't tell what he was feeling, anger, sadness, grief, panick..
