You wake up in a cozy queen size bed. The comforter is folded over, and there’s a warm divot on the pillow next to you. You smell bacon.

I was in the kitchen, with two stove eyes on, in a pair of fluffy fleece pajama bottoms and a Moe Shop t-shirt. There was a plate with a paper towel on it, soaking up the grease from the pile of fresh, crispy bacon on top. I poured some batter into a pan, poking at it with the spatula, and flipping it onto another plate, which had a stack of crêpe wrappings on it. Next to the plates were bowls of chopped strawberries, and a jar of whipped cream.

Goodnight Aijin. I love you more than anything. I really do.

“Oh, you’re finally awake~! You were trying to cross the border—” I couldn’t finish my sentence without laughing at my own joke to make it less awkward. “I’m making bacon and crêpes, you hungry?”
