Linkjust fenrift being the biggest pain in golden's pain in the butt he can be.
~Start~
Golden sighs as the seasons changed once again, their kings leaving to business. He scratches his head nervously, his claws trailing his marks. He held a book in his hand sitting next to one of the fountains
Fenrift was speaking with ivy about something, ivy seemed highly interested in the subject. even writing down notes. Fenrift was taller than his species, but seemed to take a liking to a currently oblivious princess.
Golden glances over, he notices the Raptor. It's strange to see one as far in the air as this, his ear flicks to listen. Watching over his Crush? It's still a decision after last year.
Fenrift seemed to make flirty comments here in there but it was mainly about his own species, and how they live in the high mountain ranges. ivy giggles at the flirty comments, thinking of them more as jokes.
Golden tilts he's head in suspicion, closing his book with a thump and walking over, as if he wasn't listening in.
"Hello! Ivy, nice to see the princess today," he smiles sweetly.
ivy grinned, hugging golden. "hi golden!" Fenrift seemed jealous at the sudden action, but simply dismissed it. ivy smiled, "this is Fenrift! his species lives high in the mountains!"
Golden laughs at a joke that wasn't there,"It seems so! Nice to meet you Fenrift! As the princess had said- My names Golden!," he gives a hand. Fixing his red glasses.
Fenrift hesitated, eyes narrowing, before remembering the princess was there, he needed to keep up the nice act. he simply shook his hand. ivy grinned, "you think dad would like him?"
Golden gives the jester back before he raises a brow at Ivy's question," If you don't mind me asking, what for?", he seems nervous, but his normal nervousness.
ivy shrugged. "well if he's here, he would need to meet dad to keep on the premises, but we could either do dad or uncle." Fenrift grumbled, fixing his neck fur.
Golden hums thinking," I don't think the king's are here today, princess", he says softly. Folding his arm behind his back.
ivy sighed. "he must be at work then, well that means he can stay until dad gets back!" She grinned. Fenrift grumbled silently, he didn't seem to like golden.
Golden smiles with her," Yay!," his feathers ruffles a bit," What do you want to do in the mean time? Chat? Play on the goal court?," he asks.
ivy thought for a moment, "well why not you and Fenrift get to know each other? I have to visit mother to see how shes feeling"
"As you say, come Fenrift! I'll lead you to the court, goodbye Princess!," he waves happily. Knowing he'll talk with Fenrift, his ears prick up.
ivy waved goodbye before going into the castle. Fenrift grinned, "so, I'm not the only one wanting her?-"
Golden laughs, he voice dropping a few octaves," Yes, it seems to be-," he doesn't look at him but his wings fluff up," hmm?"
Fenrift laughed. "with all those scars I'd expect you would have win her over already, that meaning shes still single?"
He scoffs," It's not easy winning her over, you do know her father, yes?," he asks. Knowing the answer," That's is the reason,".
Fenrift shrugged. "even my father is protective of my little sis, I keep up a nice pleasant act to the daughter, he'll entrust me. it's one of those fathers"
Golden chuckles," Oh it's not like that-" he turns quickly, walking backwards almost towards the court," Her father is literal death our king," a stranger would think he's beheaded many.
Fenrift paused, before huffing. "what is your tradition to... fight over a loved one?"
Golden closes his eyes," Battle of the blades, between Dutch and Dutch. One with the stronger soul for their partner wins," he explains then tapping his horns, "And you use your horns, no magic, or weapons. And the season has begun for it," he shrugs.
Fenrift raised a brow, sitting down. "so you fight like rams? isn't that... primitive?" his horns were well polished, his tradition might be different then Dutch tradition.
Gold raises a brow at him," Are you insulting us?," genuine with his statement. It's not all fights, that's just a small part. You need to make a bond with your partner and all that stuff. Ramming was just who's first in line.
Fenrift shrugged. "it's not what we do, it's more about showing off for us, sorta like... I hate to say this but think of it like a peacock mating dance. every winter with grow tail fans, attending a dance to acquire a mate" he sighed. he never liked that term.
Golden seems to like this," That actually interesting, almost like our summer festival of the sun," he laughs," Instead of Tail-Feathers we use our wings," He shacks his wings to add to this fact. The court is before them.
Fenrift grumbled, lifting his tail, his fan was in the middle of molting, but he managed to fan it out, it was a assortment of different colors, mostly reds though. "I hate my tradition though, the tail fans always get in the way." he grumbled.
"Everything has it's flaws, Fenrift, yours's are feathers mine are scars-" he smiles opening up his wings to their full length,"-Welcome to the court!", below as a large carter with designs and tiles the style the ground. Dutch's talking, training, or ramming.
Fenrift was a little nervous of the tiles at first, it seems tiles were utterly new to him. but now he was more concerned with how many new challengers for the princess' s love are.
A patch of grass, the length of two football field lay in the middle, "Don't worry a hand full fight for the princess but stay in there, most are for personal courtship," he smiles," And the stairs are over there" he points over," See you there," and he takes off with a grin.
Fenrift was confused, what did he mean, more importantly what was he going to have to do? he just sat there, utterly confused. then something caught his attention, ivy was watching a few ram, sighing.
Golden lands a few yards from her, the force of wind he drop to land is much. He smiles waving over at Ivy," I see you arrived! Nice to see you again." he laughs, glancing over where Fenrift would be.
Fenrift didn't have wings, but he simply walked around, watching the ramming, trying to gather as much info as possible. ivy laughed, "nice to see you too! are you and fenrift getting along?"
He chuckles," It seems so, I've learned interesting things about him and his kin," he grins softly at her. Glancing at the rams in the field, many seem to look back at him, seeing him so close to the princess in the court.
ivy went back to watching them, ear yellow eyes seem flare up in what seemed to be interest.. or was it a sign that she was entertained. "that's good" Fenrift sat down, watching.
Golden waves him over to come, he switches back to Ivy," How have the ramming's been?," he asks. Folding his wings back in place.
Fenrift walked over, grumbling.
Ivy chuckled. "the boys have been.. entertaining. but none seem to peak any interest. most are just so.. hard headed."
"mhm, And the females? I've seen a few around here too," he watches Fenrift, smiling to himself. He sighs cracking his neck to get ready.
ivy laughed. "me and the ladies were just braiding hair earlier. besides that one snooty lady." she shivered, cringing at the thought of it. Fenrift tilted his head, before realizing. "Woah we are ramming?!-"
Golden stretches his arms, his marks with him," I'll go first with those here, to show you how it's done," he smiles gently taking his reading glasses off setting them next to Ivy," Careful". And he walks out, give Fenrift time to talk with Ivy alone.
Fenrift was now a nervous wreck, stuttering and muttering. he was going to ram, and he had just gotten his horns polished before he came here! ivy snorted, putting golden's glasses on.
Golden talks with one of the males, the bow before stepping away from each other. Shacking their heads, and with a loud bang their horns clash. Their pawed feet digging into the ground.
Fenrift paused, he sighed. asking ivy if he could teach him the steps before going up there. ivy agreed, walking over to the trendline, teaching him the ropes.
Golden easily knocks his opponent down," I give you mercy," he mutters. The other sighs in defeat before leaving, he glances back at Ivy and Fenrift. Walking over to see what's going on.
ivy sighed. "Fenrift I know your worried about your horns but you gotta hit the target." she had painted a red target on a tree, Fenrift was hesitating, he never did this before.
Golden leans against a tree," Oh, he's worried about his nice horns, giving up already?", he teases knowingly.
Fenrift growled. "oh shut up, mind you if my horns break they won't grow back, they stay like that for the rest of my life" he grumbled. feeling his horns as if something had happened in the past, before he was suddenly shoved forward into the target, his horns getting stuck. ivy huffed. "you'll be scared until you try fluff butt"
Golden seems to glare at the name he give him but regains his friendliness," I won't break your horn, I promise," he laughs," And it seems like you're getting somewhere," he smiles nudging Ivy playfully.
ivy smiled, raising a brow.
Fenrift managed to get himself unstuck, grumbling, and bit of dry red paint stuck on his horn.
Gold chuckles," Mr. Redrings, are you well?," he asks. His tail feathers opening up, but this could meaning anything to the Raptor in this case.
He holds a hand up to cover his smile, glancing at Ivy's expression.
ivy was snickering, holding up a mirror. Fenrift was surprised. "ya know it doesn't look to bad actually" he smiled
Golden huffs," You think that ay?," he checks up behind him. Seeing a few Dutcho enter the rings, some ramming, and one calling him over.
Ivy looked over, sighing. "I got this one golden, you two need to ram, I'll tell him" she smiled, winking. Fenrift tilted his head.
Golden seems to fluster a bit, smiling. He watches her go, he looks back at Fenrift, tail swaying behind him," So?".
Golden nods," Alright,,, ready?," he bows gracefully. Tail feathers opening up, waiting for Fenrifts sign.
Fenrift made nervous bow, sighing. this was gunna be hard, if he looses a horn his father would likely murder him.
Knowing his promise, Gold can imagine Ivy's anger with him,"3,2,1...Go!," and he lunges forwards with his horns. Not as hard as he would normally do.
Fenrift hesitated, his pupils dilating into slits he charged, ramming into his horns.
Gold can feel the familiar lock as they clash, his feet digging into the ground to keep him there. Going to turn him over was his next plan to do, quick and easy on him.
Fenrift tried to back up to clash again, his plan was to appear on the offensive side, but when he realized he was locked, he mentally freaked out.
And off he went, with a turn of his head and a pull Gold does a knock off move. But with a true headlock, it makes it difficult.
Fenrift dug his feet into the ground, trying to keep himself on his feet. he tried pulling away again before huffing. "well this is awkward"
Gold huffs with a chuckle," Well then uh, you go up I down down?," he tugs but it's no use. He begins to glare at the raptor like its his fault.
Fenrift nodded. "yeah, let's try that" he chuckled in embarrassment.
Tugging with him this time a click can be heard. Golden glaces over to see his Sister Silver, with a smug grin on her face.
Fenrift ears twitched, before trying forward and up, unhooking himself. "Lets never ram, again."
Gold didn't respond but it's a mutual agreement. Shiver laughs," First time for everything ay?," she smiles. Golden rolls his eyes.
Ivy ran over, giggling. "so how was it?" Fenrift grumbled. "embarrassing"
Sliver waves at her, Golden doesn't make any eye contact after what happened," I think that's enough for today-""Leaving so soon after that?," Silver throws at him.
Ivy whined. "already? I didn't even see what happened! I was to busy getting the dude off me!" She huffed. Fenrift couldn't help but laugh at her expression.
Golden holds a finger up as if to say something but doesn't," Well the rookie here, doesn't play on dutch terms so, Got anything rift?," he asks looking over. Sliver rolls her eyes playfully tail flicking.
Fenrift shrugs, chuckling. Ivy smiled, taking out a small baggy of sweets. "you guys wanna have a picnic later? mom made me some macaroons!"

Golden melts with the smell," Sure! Come on!," he says all to eagerly. Shiver laughs at her brothers switch in moods.

Ivy laughed. Fenrift smiled. "sure I can go for some" he chuckled.

They arrive where Ivy took them to, Gold all to pleased to eat one of the sweets. Sliver chills not to far away observing.
Ivy smiled, sitting down. Fenrift was nibbling at his sweet,smiling softly.
"Thank you Ivy, These are pretty sweet," He says genuinely. He wonders if Fenrift has given up on chasing Ivy, as he saw through out today his smirks dropping.
Fenrift grumbled. Ivy thought for a moment, thinking about fenrift's liking to the red on his horns, before taking out a paintbrush,smiling.
Golden tilts his head at this," What are you doing there Princess?," he glances over and fenrift. Silver grins from afar, watching this small conflict among them.
Ivy smiled, grabbing Fenrift by the horns, making him lay down. Fenrift yelped, trying to stutter out as much as a protest as possible.

Golden chuckles, was he suppose to feel jealous? No, Ivy herself can scare him off. Silver can be heard gasping for air in her laughter.

Ivy grinned. "hold still!" Fenrift neckfur fluffy, sitting as still as a board.
(So when we figure out fenrifts and Goldens dilemma between them, we can get it finish if you stay active lmao)
Golden smiles," Don't break him, it's only been a few hours," he says grinning. Silver chuckles," Yeah, Father of war ain't going to be happy", she comments. Did this raptor know who her father is anyways?

Ivy was painting red markings on his horns, giggling at his expression. Fenrift was more embarrassed more than anything.
" Hey Ivy, after your done with him can I show your work to the paint King?," referring to Felix, the creator of small worlds. Golden smiles at her softly, a bit sour at the attention she's giving Fenrift, just a bit.
ivy smiled. "oh course! I'm sure he'll love it!" She laughed. "if you want i can do your horns too!"
Golds ears flick in delight," I'd be happy to," a faint blush in his cheeks. Silver smirks taking out a book with tally mark in them.
ivy smiled, Patting fenrift so he could get up. Fenrift huffed, grumbling. his face red.
Golden scoots over and crisscrosses in front of her, making sure she can reach them. Silver smiles at Fenrift mockingly, and knowingly.

ivy was trying to figure out what color would go best, stumped really. Fenrift nibbled on another sweet.
Gold could see her expression laughing," Having a moment there ay? Is the adventures Dutch really been stopped?," he teases. Sliver walks over to sit next to Fenrift.
ivy huffed. "oh hush! I'm trying to figure out what color would go best with your horns." she almost seemed offended, but amusement was in her voice.
Fenrift looked over, tilting his head.
Golden chuckles," Sorry sorry oh Great one!," he bows jokingly. Silver smiles," How are you holding up?," she asks, taking a sip of drink she brought.
Fenrift shrugged. "winning her heart is proving a challenge.." ivy laughed. "I just can't decide between green or black."
Gold smiles flustered," What will make you laugh?," he asks as a suggestion. Sliver elbows him," Did you think it's going to be easy to woo the daughter of War? And up against my brother? Naw, you'll have to try harder, Gold has already saved her life before," she adds, referring to the time of the new necklace.
Ivy thought for a moment, sighing. "I dunno" she seemed in thought.
Fenrift sighed. "father said I needed to find someone outside my species..."
Golden hums, happily waiting for her. Silver arches a brow," What for? Especially the Dutches all the way up here, we aren't an easy species per say," she says.
Fenrift grumbled. "dad says its to "contain the peace" or somethin." he didn't seem to like it.
Ivy finally chose to go with black, smiling, starting to paint.
Gold can feel the cold paint hit his horn, shivering a bit. Silver doesn't press on, as co-command for Azula she stays quiet. This could mean something for her as Dutchs' are strange monsters.
ivy kept painting, putting a heart on each horn. smiling she finished. "done!" She laughed. Fenrift saw the hearts and bursted into laughter.
Golden huffs his cheeks heating," Thank you Ivy, I and Fenrift will go meet the Painter now!," he says quickly, dragging Fenrift with him. Silver grins happily.
Fenrift jumped. "h-hey slow down!" he was trying to keep up. ivy was laughing, smiling.

Gold pulls him away, off to meet Felix in the woods. Silver chuckles with her," Silly boys ay?,"
