Your oc had heard of the king and queens son being a strange type boy believing in magic and more in inventing and science things most everyone disapproved of his interest but didn’t say anything suddenly he goes missing without a trace you hear rumors of him getting himself into trouble and stuff like that your oc is walking around the forest when you get hit on the back of the neck with a dart fainting you wake up in a cage with varían standing infront of the cage with a scowl

He glared back, growling as he stared scornfully.
"what. the. ****." he said through his teethm
"..." his ears flopped down angrily, as his breath began go become rapid. It was hard to breathe.
Varían grumbled loudly “you can breath in that cage it’s not that small” the cage was for a animal so it was kinda small
he grasped his chest, shuddering and spluttering. he's asthmatic.
"in,,inhaler," He shool alot in panic and fear.

He sighed grabbing one he invented off the desk covered in tools and gave it to him gently with gloved hands
he pushed it away, he knew it was the wrong prescription and felt relatively worse.
"haah,, you... urk."
He looked around for his prisoners bag he found it and rummaged through it it was werid how he cared enough to actually help him
"ugh,, thanks, but that doesn't mean I like nor trust you," He turned away
"Just listen to me..I'm trying to help you" he said trying to keep calm and not snap at him
"Why, why do I need help from a random guy who locked me into an animal cage?" he scowled at him.
"Becauss you contracted a very deadly sickness while wandering those woods called red flower even though it has nothing to do with flowers or red it will kill you luckily I might have a antidote though uhm every person I tested it on kinda..."his voice trailed off with a sudden look
"You don't have to touch it you have to breathe it in and those flowers hide themselves so there hard to find that's why no one goes into the forest"
"then just let me die, it'll be better." he settled his glare elsewhere, annoyed and frustrated
"NO I'm not going to let you die the like the millions of other so just let me help" he grabbed a needle and started filling it up with the stuff
Varian just pulled his gloves up a little more and grabbed the dart shooting him again but he said before shooting him with it again "I'm sorry but your not dying"
he went all limp, shuddering a little before crying.
he was mainly scared it was just a lie and a way to get him killed
The dart made him pass out quickly varian took the time to quickly inject his arm he smiled with a chuckle seeing the symptoms going away he decided to take him to his room to rest and picked him up out of the cage and brought him to his room and carefully set him on his bed he left and came back with some food
he woke up, soon after freaking out, sobbing amd crying wildly against the wall, shuddering completely red.
He was sitting in a chair and jumped when he woke up "h hey calm down calm down your alright!" He said quickly
"St,STAU AWAY FROM ME. YOU. YOU." he threw stuff at him, hugging a pillow for protection, muffling his cries into it.
He curled up into a ball and intensely flinched at the throw he rocked back and forth shaking violently
he kept on shuddering and shaking.
he was still horrorfied and didn't know what he'd done to him
He eventually calmed down some “calm down I just injected you and it worked”
"I, I hated it.. you. you locked me..me up and then you. you SHOT ME." he grabbed at his head, almost scratching and clawing at it
Varían scowled more “shush I would like a quiet prisoner” he looked through the desk covered in gears and other things
He smiled a little “good you actually listen to your prince not most people do that” he pulled out a empty needle
He filled the needle up with a small sigh "so I hear you've been sick for awhile so I wanted to help" this was a strange way of wanting to help "hopefully you won't fall over and uhm..."
He narrowed his eyes a little bit but he was sick. he just didn't want to admit it
He just yawned like he was losing sleep over this "Alright stayed up all night making this so it should help you instantly if not then best you'll pass out anyways arm please" he held a gloved hand through the bars
Instead of a sharp grab of anything he very gently grabbed his arms and pulled him closer "Alright your gonna feel a little dizzy but If this works the deadly sickness will go away in no time at all"
He looked at his arm a little with a soft smile he noticed the red and got a little worried touching his face with one hand softly "oh no did it get worse I don't know if redness in the face is a symptom uhm"
He just nodded and he hesitates a little still holding the needle
Varians smile grew wide seeing how he didn't pass out or die right there all the symptoms disappeared almost instantly

"You should still rest for now don't wanna send you out there with all of the flowers active"
Varian felt guilty rush over him "wait no..not in the cage.." he opened the cage "uhm sorry about darting you it was the only way to slow the disease down but it also makes you faint too"
He smiled back "Alright let's get you to my room before he gets back" he grabs his hand and takes him down a narrow hall and into a room across from his room was another door but he closed it before he could get a better look "welcome to my sciencey home"
It was a pretty small room and the bed was only ment for one person maybe two it you tried hard enough "I think we can fit you some where in this mess of a room"
He smiled "well go ahead I need to get you food be right back oh and hear any noises don't leave this room ok"
He left to get food papers covered the desk with a Feather and ink the writing looked angry and sad like crying about how he couldn't make him proud or how he would get mad at him and hit him sometimes just sad and angry messages
his eyes lingered on the papers but then he looked around again to find a good place

A strong looking man stepped through looking down at some papers with a scowl "Alright ya little shit got more papers for ya" when he noticed him sitting there his face grew angry "VARIAN!" He shouted some smaller sounding footsteps came and varian appeared in the door way "y yes sir?" The angry man cuffed him on the side of his head with a thud varians head hit the wall because the force was that strong and the hall was not very wide "what are you doing releasing prisoners!" He yelled at the small red headed boy who cowarded
The two agruged more until the man sighed angry still "Fine but he can never leave this place"
The man left to his room and varian sighed his face looked bruises from the hard hit
he sighed "anyways, about me staying here forever..." he looked uneasy
"You can still go out into the woods just not back to the village or gray would kill me"
lucus scrambled to his feet looking around to see if anyone was around to help him "not again!" he said looking at the prince "what do you want let me out!" he growled
Varian just tried not to smirk but it showed through "wow your a noisy one" he yawned a little
"shut up let me out!" he demanded grabbing on the bars. he didnt like being held in a cage no he didnt just not like it he Hated it. he looked the prince up and down seeing if he had any weapons on him.
The prince instead of being in his normal regal clothes was wearing what looked to be a apron and gloves with some brown dark pants his red hair was flattened slightly by what you would wear when welding something "ugh just calm down I'm trying to help you!" He yelled angry now
lucus's ears went flat due to his sensitive hearing. he sat down and watched every move they made "sorry" lucus wasnt liked by everyone considered a freak for the way he looked. his parents werent the nicest so lucus was known to be very jumpy and apologetic
He took in a deep breath and exhaled "sorry..sorry I just snap sometimes and you weren't listening..anyways I'm trying to help you"
"why? im not in danger? atleast i dont think so" he said tilting his head
He sighed "you got the very deadly sickness called red flower" that disease was like a plauge and everyone talked about it that disease had killed millions
he sighed "how did you know" he said looking away "and how can you help" he said tilting his head again
"Easy well not really any normal person can't tell but a scientific person can and I have been working on a antidote"
"oh, ok, im in ig" he said hesitant from the rumors going around. he watched the other carefully
Varian pulled a needle out and filled it with something he kept in his sight knowing that he was watching he wanted him to trust him not fear him
he put his arm out so that they could use it on him. looking away cuz he doesnt like needles
Instead of a rough grab he very gently held his arm with his gloved hand "a alright you ready?"
He slowly put it in a small pinch happened varians eyes lit up with joy when he didn't faint or die and the symptoms went away soon "o oh my god I did it!"
"you mean it might have not worked?!" he said his face turning pale "welp atleast it did" he said under his breathe "can you let me out im claustrophobic, i wont run i promise" he meant that
He nodded "I'm not gonna let you sleep in a cage ok" he opened the cage and took his hand gently and pulled him into his room there was a door across from his room but he closed the door quickly "Uh welcome I guess"
(Varian is actually a sweetheart he's letting him stay in his room ok

"thank you!" he said happily though he was scared he was still thankful that he wasnt dead
Varian smiled a little red "y your welcome" he didn't get thanked often so he loved that he did thank him
he smiled warmly seeming to grow fond of them "y-you dont mind if i stay with you do you because i dont wanna go back home.. people are waiting for me.. and i dont want them to find me"
"oh, uh.. well i dont wanna go back because my dad wants to kill me" he said simply
he nodded and hugged the other happily lucus was a very touchy person it was a bad habit he had and it often drove people away

Varian sighed looking at him to make sure he wasn't dead he grabbed a needle and softly spoke "hey you awake?"
He flinched a little "will you calm down I'm trying to help you!" He snapped back
He growled his anger growling "no you have red flower" that was the very deadly disease that took millions of lives
"I I just don't like being stared at" he mumbled "reminds me of him..."
He got the needle ready and stuck a arm through the bars and held his hand open "arm please"
He gently held it in his gloved hand he smiled a little bit at him
He injected his arm and smiled wide when he didn't pass out or die and symptoms went away

he looked up at the man with fear in his eyes "w who are you!? Where am I!?" he stuttered and looked terrified
Varian took in a breath "sorry sorry I didn't mean to scare you I'm trying to help you"
he kept on looking at the guy in fear, not breaking eye contact, he was terrified of the man for some reason
Varian was not a man probably 18 at most when looked at for awhile "look I'm trying to help you"
