Bumblefern sighed as he walked around the edge of Leafclan’s territory. The ground under him was cloggy, clunky and wet. All he could smell was mud and dew. If he wasn’t such a patient cat, he would’ve teared Stingfoot’s pelt all up for making him go out alone in a weepy patrol.
He nearly gave away and started to head home with an empty report, until the wind picked up. What is that? He sniffed, and his nose began to guide his pawsteps. Soon enough, he found himself behind a cat. His pelt prickled up at the back of his pelt, he was uncertain what to do, so he simply hid in a tree log, watching the stranger.
The orange tabby tom was sniffing and looking around. He was nervous and looked worried. He swiftly padded around, looking as if he was lost or trying to find something.
Bumblefern took a step towards the tabby, his soft pelt fluffed out so he seemed bigger- but instead he looked like a silly squirrel- his tail twitched.
“Are you alright?” He looked at him.

LinkHe turned around, startled. “Who are you?”
“Bumblefern.” He said, startled too, “I’m a warrior of Leafclan. Y-you’re on Leafclan territory. Explain yourself please.”
He shuffled his paws nervously. “I’m Sunset. I wandered off and now I’m lost” he hung his head down.
Bumblefern sighed and dropped the bold act. He turned around, and started to head into the forest, “Alright, Sunset… Come with me. You look like you have a few wounds that need some looking at…”
He nodded and followed him. When they got to the camp, his nose twitched at the many smells that came from the entrance.
Bumblefern’s ears twitched from everything that was going on. Stingfoot was yelling at a warrior, Hivestar was playing with some kittens, Badgerpaw was climbing a tree and teaching a kit on how to climb too. It was normal. Bumblefern walked up to his leader, “Hivestar.”

Link“Bumblef-” Her eyes laid on Sunset, “Who’s that?”
Sunset looked up nervously. “I-I’m Sunset.”
“Sunset you say? Are you a Fadedclan cat?” She quickly stood up, “If not… Explain yourself.”
He shook his head. “No, Ma’m - er - Hivesoot. I’m not from any Clan, but I'm lost and I don’t know my way back.”
“Well.” Hivestar sighed, “First, you stay in the medicine cat den, and then we’ll help you out. I’ll have a warrior stand by you at all times however.” She glanced around the camp, “Sleekshine!”

LinkThe she-cat whipped her head around. “Yes Hivestar?” she said happily.
Hivestar smiled, “May you watch this cat?” Her tail pointed to Sunset, “He’s lost, and looks like he needs a small trip to the medicine den. I’ll appreciate it if you drop more protrols to keep your eyes on him…”
She nodded, and walked over to Sunset and took him into the Medicine Cat Den. Sunset looked around. The den was nice but smelled heavily of flowers, and honey. Without a trained muzzle, the den easily stuffed a cat's nose.
“Hey.” Beedew snored, opening one eye from a nap, looking at Sunset.
Sunset shuffled his paws.
“Hivestar told me to take him to the Medicine Cat den.” Sleekshine reported, sitting down.
Beedew stretched and yawned, “What’s wrong with him? Is he another Clan’s apprentice or something?”
Sunset folded his ears back, obviously offended.
“No, He’s lost. Bumblefern took him to our camp. He has some scratches from thorns.” She started to groom herself.

Beedew inspected Sunset, ignoring his bitterness. “Oh yeah,” She said at last after giving a small sniff, “You have some cuts, and some thorns.” She began to pluck out the thorns, “What’s your name, by the away?”
“Sun- OUCH!” he yelped as she pulled out a thorn. He rubbed his nose with his paw. Beedew chuckled, as she ripped out more thorns. With skilled paws she splashed on a mixture on his small wounds and thorn-scratches.
“Better?” She smiled, fluttering her ears as she lied back down.
“Not really.” He mumbled.
Sleekshine waited patiently.
“Swollen bee stings…” She sighed and heaved herself up. She handed him the littlest drop of honey, “this is for you to forget the pain,” then she scooped up some herbs and plopped them right in front of him, “And there. That should make it feel better. If not, too bad. You’ll have to deal with it.”

LinkSunset looked down at the herbs. He slowly ate them. He then looked worriedly outside of the den. Beedew swiftly took note of this.
“Hey, do you need some poppyseeds or a thrush? You're looking a tad bit down.” She flopped to his side.
“I’m just lost. I’m supposed to meet someone but I was distracted and I started running everywhere to see if I could find something familiar.” He hung his head down.
“Huh.” She looked up at him and groomed herself, “What does your home look like?”
“Well, I can’t explain my home, but where I was supposed to meet them was close to where Trubbish, Twitter, and Peep lived, though I don’t know where they are now; and I need to get there before sunset today.”

Link“Huh. Those names sound a tad bit familiar,” She groomed her chin and thought for a moment, “Hmm… Nope. I think I don’t know them.” She went back to grooming herself, “Don’t worry. You’ll have a home here if you can’t go back.” She licked her shoulder.
Sleekshine twitched her tail tip.
Beedew paid no mind to Sleekshine innocently as she groomed her foot, “They're probably close to Fadedclan territory.”
Sleekshine padded swiftly out of the den. “Hivestar, can I go on a single-cat patrol please?”
Hivestar was right next to Stingfoot, sharing a thrush.
“Sure,” She smiled, she opened her mouth but Stingfoot spoke first, “Why though? Bumblefern just came back from one.”
“Yes, but I feel like I need some time to myself right now.”
Hivestar just nodded, “Go ahead. Can you please bring back some sticks and maybe some fresh-kill? A mouse will do just fine.”

Link“Yes Hivestar.” Sleekshine walked out of camp. When she was sure she couldn’t be seen, she started speeding towards Meadowclan. When she got near the camp, she whispered to Teddypelt in the elders den. That was enough to wake up a sleepy Teddypelt. She looked at Sleekshine.
“T- I mean Sleekshine, what in the name of Starclan are you doing here?”
“I need to talk with you. Now, would be good.” She tapped her tail impatiently.
Teddypelt sighed and staggered to her side, “Now what? Did something happen to Willowdusk?”
She shook her head. “No, but we need to get her too. It involves our old home.”
“Oh?” She began to step out more, “Explain further.”
She started to tell her about where Sunset wanted to go. “If this is the Sunset we know, then this problem is bigger than I thought it was.”
Teddypelt slowly nodded, “Let me talk to him. Get Willowdusk too.”
She sped off to Crystalclan’s territory. She came back with the calico she-cat and they went to Leafclan territory.

Teddypelt followed, “Won’t we get in trouble for sneaking into other clans territory?”
“I’ll just tell them I found you guys in our territory. It should work.” The gray she-cat said.
Willowdusk nodded, with Teddypelt following along.
“Is Sunset around here?” Teddypelt croaked.
Sunset was sitting at the edge of the camp. Sleekshine quietly called him over.
Teddypelt rested her paw on the brim of her nose and flattened her ears, Let’s just hope he’s just being dumb and got himself lost. She stood behind Sleekshine and Willowdusk, watching for Sunset.
He trotted over, and sat down. “You called me over, Sleekshine? Who are these she-cats with you?”
“I think we're… Good acquaintances with you.” She hinted a bit passive aggressively.

LinkHe cocked his head. “What do you- … Peep?”
Teddypelt clicked her tongue, “Yup, dummy.”
Sunset folded his ears back. “I know we aren't good friends but… I’m lost!”
“How did you even get lost?”
“I was going to see the Rabbits, but I got distracted and got lost.”
“....Mousebrain…” She sighed, “We’ll get you home. Don’t worry.”
He nodded. “But only one of you can come.”
“I call not it.” She huffed and looked at Sleekshine, “You’re the best option.”
“I will. But only if I have some Leafclan cats to come with me.” She mewed.
“That’s not any skin off of my back.”
She flicked her ear. “I’ll tell them that I think I know where he wants to go.”
“Alright. Is this the end of the meeting now?”
Sleekshine nodded. “Yes, you can go back if you want.
Teddypelt sighs of relief, “So long, droppings...” She trotted away.
Sunset flicked his ear and they walked back into Leafclan camp.

LinkWillowdusk went back to Crystalclan territory. She snuck back into their temporary camp like she was there the whole time. Crystalclan was too focused on Quartzfur starting her travel to become leader, meanwhile, Fadedclan was alright. Some were eating, some were sleeping. It was all pretty normal, no one was searching for the deputy.
Willowdusk sat down and stretched. She took a bird off of the fresh-kill pile.
Nighttail followed her, “Thank goodness you're here…”
She took a bite. “Why? Did I miss something? Did something happen when I was gone? WAS THERE A FIGHT??? I hope I didn’t miss a fight.”
Nighttail snickered, “I was helping Mosspaw with something and then Quartzfur announced Brisknose would be deputy! Jasperwhisker went crazy!”
She laughed. “Really? That’s hilarious! I’m disappointed I missed it!”
Nighttail let out a mrrow of laughter, “I still think Brisknose is crying like a kit!” She quickly ran up to a tunnel.
