LinkSo, like... why do Christians pick and choose what parts of the bible they believe? Like, it says to stone adulterers and that getting tattoos is a sin.
What's with that, famsquad?

LinkSo it's basically taking things out of context.
It takes a lot of studying and comparing different parts to make sense of it.
Also diffrent versions of Christianity.
Catholics are stricter, and take the Bible more literally.
Same with orthodox and Lutheran.
Baptists are more free and adaptive.
So basically it's because people kinda want things and take the Bible out of context to get what they want.
Also the "stone adulterers" is an old thing.
New Testament has new laws established.
Those are history (so historic laws).
Honestly the whole tattoo thing I doubt is a sin, but honestly is stabbing yourself with a needle to get a pattern on your skin really a good thing?
So yeah.
I kinda explain stuff to my friends a lot don't judge my knowledge.

LinkBut also, adultery is a sin.
An Tattoos I think would be, cause they are basically harming yourself, but I don't think that's really going to effect everything.

LinkAlso, leviticus also said this:
Leviticus 18:22: " Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
Leviticus 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
Either tattooing is evil and you should stone adulterers, or being gay is just fine.

Link"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
John 8:7
So this basically means only the sinless can punish, and also it's Jesus blatantly saying, you all can't stone her! And Jesus is without sin, and doesn't stone her, so therefore we shouldn't stone people or punish people. Leave that up to God.

TL;DR: Jesus was pro stoning adulterers.
Don't try and fight an ex-christian on biblical teachings, famalan.

LinkI'd like the evidence too. Sure, I'm Catholic, but does that mean I have to BELIEVE this stuff, cuz i don't.
