LinkI think it will end in fire since in a million years time the sun will turn into a white dwarf and probably knock out the orbit, so it's probably both

probably if theres still animals on the planet before the sun explodes or something then that would be kinda cool since we all live for at least 100 years or less
I wonder how many years it would take until every human is wiped out
