Last night after finishing the background color, I showed my Dad a side-by-side of the original and the redraw, and y'all... when I TELL YOU... HE. SLAUGHTERED. (YOUNGER) ME. He must've been holding back for YEARS, cause the way he wheezed staring at the old references I was showing him, giving him a glimpse of the characters and how they've grown through my style... bro he was crying!!! 😭😂 His main point was the hands, because back then... he bought me a realistic wooden hand model for me to use to practice drawing hands. I HARDLY used it, because my logic was it "contrasts my chibi style" like child WHAT. 🙄 He said now they look like real hands, and just... I LOVE MY DAD Y'ALL! ❤️❤️❤️ But anyways... I really am bashing on my younger self at this point, because... I was a brat, I can admit it!! But I was a brat with a passion to draw. I'm happy with how far I've come, and I'M NOT EVEN DONE WITH THIS YET!!!
