Okay so like the ref im using gave me weird inspirement to use my irl hairstyle but Idk if I should use it-

Most of the time I use a ref Whether its an art ref or an irl fashion model but when I freehand it, I use lines to guide me for symmetrical stuff, and then for arms and legs I use box-like things that look similar to the limb but that just helps me get the pose right, then I make it look more real/human. that probably makes no sense I'm sorry-

Yes! but like on this post I draw the face first because the guild lines, to me, mess me up. So after I draw the face then I add guidelines for the eyes/eyebrows, nose, and mouth.
