if you do a realistic eye, get a slightly darker color than the iris and lower to opacity to 0.3, using the smallest tip, use the marker and draw lines out from the pupil, then, get a darker color, lower the opacity to 0.5 and second smallest tip, and draw lines out again. then add white (lowered opacity) from wherever your light source is coming from
