She almost froze in fear as she fixed her posture and gave him an apologetic nod, mumbling a quick and rathwr quiet "s-sorry,," before walking off.

Her ear twitched at those words, trying to brush it off as she turned down the alley that shortcutted to her apartment complex, her tail rustling behind her.

She freaked out a bit, not responding as she walked a bit faster, the sound of her heels clicking echoing through the alley.

She yelped, her expression already plastered with fear and worry. "D-Do you need something, s-sir,,?"

Her heart practically dropped to her stomach, not sure how to respond to that statement. She let out a few stuttered fragments of sentences, trying to tug her arm back.

She let out another yelp, trying to tug at her arm even more now, using her other hand to try and push him away. "I-I don't know what you w-want me to say, s-sir,, I-I can only confirm I d-did that,," Her speech was panicked, her ears dropping down.

Her ears went back with a frown, wincing when he got in her face. "Pl-Please let me go, sir,,"

She started to panic more, her hands shaking as tears pricked the corners of her eyes. "Y-Yes I got it pl-please stop,,"

She whimpered, backing away from him as she rubbed her arm, trying to ease the stinging sensation. She thought over what he said for a second, looking up at him. "Wh-Why should I stay away f-from Kai, sir?"

Her brows furrowed a bit, her posture straightening. "W-With all due respect,, I-I won't let him get killed, s-sir.."

She nodded, a determined look on her face. "Y-Yes...I will."

She paused, genuinely thinking about it. "I-I don't know, b-but I sure as hell know I-I won't let you anywhere n-near Kai. I've st-stopped your brother with merely a c-coat hanger and my force. I-I'm sure I could stop y-you as well, sir."

She blinked, taking a second to comprehend what he said before freaking out a bit. "W-Wait,, oh **** where is it,," She muttered to herself as she dug around in her purse, pulling out a small army knife, flicking the blade up. "Pl-Please don't move,,"

She frowned, getting a bit frustrated that he didn't listen as she walked up to him briskly, almost having to jog to catch up to his strides, grabbing onto his sleeve and pulling back at it with all of her weight so he would actually stop. "D-Don't you dare hurt Kai, s-sir,,"

"H-He's a person too! You could a-also get really hurt if y-you do and nobody l-likes getting hurt,," She dug her nails a bit into his arm, still tugging back at it.

She stumbled a bit, her nails not fully releasing and leaving him with more of a shallow gash than just nail marks. She huffed, grabbing at his other arm, doing the same thing. "I'm n-not letting you hurt Kai, s-sir,,"

"I-I'm not going anywhere!" She moved one of her hands, holding the pocket knife tightly.

She froze a bit when she saw it, quickly giving it a rough slap so he'd drop it on the sidewalk.

She kicked the gun across the sidewalk so it was away from him with a huff.

She yelped out, her grip on his arm loosening as she narrowed her gaze, her brows slightly furrowed as she started to bleed a bit.

"S-Stop trying to go after Kai!" She growled a bit, more frustrated than angry.

She huffed, knowing she'd have no trouble getting angry with Marne around. The thought of him alone got her blood boiling. She kept her grip tight on his arm, slowly dragging them down to create a deeper gash than the last one.

"D-Don't even f-****ing try, Marne." She sneered, her fingernails curling angrily as she glared up at him.

Her hand curled a bit more in fear, pulling up her pocket knife and pointing it at him. "N-No...Not until y-you leave Kai alone.."

She growled, a slight line of foam forming in the corners of her mouth. "Th-Then I won't be letting go.."

Her eye twitched. "Does it look like I ****ing care if someone who wants Kai dead gets hurt? If it does I apologize." She took a few steps before she was behind Varin, letting go and kicking the back of his knees with her heel roughly so he'd fall on his back.

She was quick to dismiss Varin, moving towards Marne instead and swinging the knife close to him as a distraction before cutting his hand holding the gun.

She slashed his side to his stomach roughly, kicking right under his knees to try and knock him over.

She was quick to push the knife threateningly to his throat, having to go on her toes to do so causing her to stumble a bit as she spoke. "I swear if it's going to take me making you blind or slitting your throat open on this sidewalk I'll do that to make you leave Kai alone. You in particular have caused me so much ****ing pain I'd be happy to see you bleeding out on the ground."

She couldn't reach much further up while maintaining good control due to her height, but she opted to give his chest a deep slash, making sure to dig the knife in quite a bit. "Take another reminder that I don't really care for you going after him and making him miserable."

She wedged out the knife from his chest, a bit of blood splattering on her sleeve and cheek as she got back to standing normally, unsheathing the knife and walking off in the direction of Kai's office.

She felt a bit bad, putting the knife back in her purse and pulling down her ears uncomfortably, walking briskly down the sidewalk.

(nyoom fast sonic speeeded) Cherri climbed up the stairs to his office, giving the door a soft knock, waiting outside it. "U-Uhm Kai? C-Can I come in?"

She opened the door, walking in and closing it behind her. "H-Hey,,, You doing a-alright?" She walked up to his desk.

She walked over, wiping off some blood from the cut on her cheek with her sleeve before hugging him. "Y-You sure?"

"Y-Yeah...Just got into a-a little fight,," She winced a bit when she touched her cheek to wipe some more blood off

She looked up at him with a reassuring smile. "I-I'll be fine...You seemed a b-bit down when I w-walked in,, Did s-something happen?"

Her ears dropped, her smile turning into a worried frown. "I-I'm so sorry to hear th-that, Kai." She gave him another hug, nuzzling the top of his head softly to comfort him.

"I-I'm alright...I'm relieved that I-I was able to take some stess o-off of you since th-the little fight I got into w-was with your father an-and his brother I think,,"

She hugged onto him tighter, giving his cheek a gentle kiss. "D-Don't worry, please,, I-I can always help dr-drive them away,,"

"K-Kai they kinda already hurt m-me physically,, It's kinda l-late for that precaution." She trailed off, nuzzling his neck.

She paused, resting her head against him lovingly. "I-I promise I won't leave y-you, Kai. Trust me when I-I say I'll hold my ground a-and keep my promise."

She ran her hands through his mane, softly grooming and petting him. "I-I love you, Kai."
