LinkHe refused to stop running. It appeared as if the darkness was following him, and like he couldn’t run away. He brushed his hair out of his face with the back of his hand and he kept running. He didn’t want to know what was in the darkness. He wanted light. It was approaching faster. He gave up, stood straight, and let the darkness embrace him.
He woke up.
It was 9 a.m.
He was in a cold sweat.
Nothing was true.
She sobbed. She thought he wouldn’t do it, but he did. He did it and now she would never see him again. It was the worst thought. Her own brother. Never to be seen again. She began to cry, her eyes were sore, her face was red. She cried until the stars came out.
It was going to be fixed.
She would make it better.
She wiped her tears,
But she knew she never could.
“It’s okay. I’m okay. I can make it. It wasn’t your fault.” He mumbled, blood dripping from his mouth.
She sobbed. “I should’ve been shot. I should’ve. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
He laughed, then coughed up blood.
“It’s okay. It’s... okay. You know... you under...stand I love you, right?” He said, stuttering and quickly losing breath.
“No. No. Please. Just to the hospital, okay? Okay?” She said. She knew it was inevitable though.
“I love... you. Know that. Foreve..r.”
“No. No. Hospital. Soon. Please.”
His breath was shallow.
It was done.
She cried.
He basically busted down the door.
“What the heck man!?” He yelled, as his friend ran in.
“LOOK WHAT MY MOM GOT!” The friend screeched. He was shaking in happiness.
He grabbed the tickets from his friends hand.
“R...really?”
“YES! Are you excited!?”
“....”
They both hugged and screamed.
Tomorrow would be the bets day of their lives.
